Didn't realize Calgary was only .500 going into the Bruins game tonight.

I definitely didn't see the Kraken, Jets, and Wings being good. I think enough people called the Devils and Islanders being good that I half believed it possible.

I think Vegas was a surprise as well due to goaltending but damn they got the best value in net so far .

Will see how Edmonton fares without Kane for the next 3-4 months

So most pts ever for one team in an nhl season is 132, no shock it's an old habs team. In the modern era it's Tampa with 128.

Anyone think Vegas or Boston are live to tie or beat that? Lol that Tampa team only lost 16.

if either team is close they'll likely relax the last few weeks because it will likely be an insurmountable 1 seed

Lots of talk about the Jets needing a trade to fill their 3 injured top-9 wingers.

Why wouldn't they bring up their offensive AHLers to fill in first?

And Gagner seems like a good fit on the 1st or 2nd line.

trade for Patty Kane

Nhl review policy is so lol

PHI-MTL, Habs PP, puck is on Hart's skate on the goal line, Monahan hammers away at Hart's pad and pushes it over the line. Habs celebrate, refs signal nothing and go to review. Takes a couple of minutes, they signal goal, but apparently they only looked at wether the puck crossed the goal like. Torts challenges for goalie interference, it's overturned instantly.

Refs look at it and really can't make the call that the puck went in but in an illegal way on their own? How would that have worked before challenges?

yeah i'd ask why they never fix this ****, but i know it's because they've had the same group decaying, braindead dickheads running hockey ops for the last ~20 years, for whatever goddamn reason

"should we ever consider making this product better in any way?"
gary, the gms, and owners: "lol, no"

lol, holy moly lmao

was gonna say wait until they finally deal toews & kane, but apparently kane's offense isn't even good anymore
(and ofc he abandoned the idea of playing defense 5+ years ago)

What a great game for the Habs! Caufield last second goal to tie it. Teams went back and forth with the lead. Mike Matheson made his Habs debut with a goal. I guess he can put up some points. Bedard is crushing it of course, he really has the moves, the speed, the shot. Crazy prospect. the Habs look to be in no-mans land with a couple of veteran D men now healthy in Edmundson and Matheson. Still good to see fun, exciting hockey and the young guys deliver.

Ya zuki and Caufield are unreal. Good for their morale and development, not good for draft chances. Still fun to watch. Last year someone's analytics had Suzuki as a top 10 worst contract in NHL. Now he's top 10 in points. Great stuff.
