First series review:

Tampa #6 vs Toronto #4

Outside of the Bruins series, this is the one I will be GLUED to. It's also likely to be one of the 4 best.

The irony that Maple Leaf fans complained all year about getting the "tougher" matchup with the current playoff format, only to arguably get an easier one thanks to the same format, is delicious. No excuses now big blue.

I think this is basically like Zee Justin sitting down against your neighbourhood poker tourney champ. Total freeroll for Tampa. I think 100% of the pressure is on Toronto, and should Tampa split those first two Toronto games, I'd expect them to win.

THAT SAID, I am all in rooting for Toronto here, as I cannot resist the idea of Boston-Toronto in round 2.


I think the #2 PP vs the #3 PP is going to be the story here, and might decide some games late when a spicy ref decides to call something they've not called all game.

I also personally cannot wait for Tampa to goon this series up as they invariably will have to do to win. That alone should break hockey forums and twitter for a few hours.

Prediction: I'm going to take Leafs in 6, because I don't believe they can win in 7. Totally emotional pick here.

i mean, they could just be making a scorching take for attention, but also it'd be pretty boring if they just picked chalk. and there will be upsets, so shoot your shot. i don't think it'll happen, but it's not like unthinkable that the oilers could blow that series

Kings are good value. Upsets happen with defensive minded teams, not trying to outscore or run and gun.
