He wanted 3 or 4 years, and DL wouldn't do it. Then on the market, no one else would either. Something along the way poisoned the well, so JWill chose Caps for less money and only 2 years. Only a $3.25M cap hit. Sad.

Resorting to punching Allen in the head and into the goal is a new strategy to scoring goals I havn't seen used yet.

Was surprised how long the refs took to confirm that even when nudged in the back, you have to try and avoid the goalie, you can't just truck him into the net along with the puck. Needed literally one replay.

The thing is if he didn't touch the goalie, the puck still goes in. It was between his legs and rolling in.

They were probably trying to decide if the goalie interference even mattered, then trying to figure out if it matters if the goalie interference mattered

Theoretically if he doesn't touch Allen, Allen can just flop to the ice and cover the puck with no idea if its over the line or not. Think if you are going to decide on if goalie interference matters, you have to assume the goalie plays the situation perfectly, and if thats played perfectly, the puck doesn't go in.

Also have to play your goalie interference smarter. If you just disrupt Allen, thats a goal, but when you push the goalie into the net, you need to run really good to count that one
