Bernie Parent and Super Mario only others with consecutive Conns. Sid could be the first with 3 next year.

Can a serious hockey fan answer this for me please. The rules say you can't check from behind, yet I see this rule broken 10 times a game and it's rarely called. Is it like traveling and charging in basketball? The refs just aren't gonna call it and the players know it so they just ignore the rule? Or is it only called if you level the guy from behind?

The way the rule is applied is basically you can't apply a violent check from behind to someone. If you're just pinning them to the boards with their back facing you, that's fine. Where it gets dangerous is if you take a run at someone who is like 3-4 feet from the boards and hit them from behind, sending them head first into the boards. So a lot of what you see are checks from behind where the player receiving the check can feel it coming or knows it's coming and isn't necessarily in a vulnerable position.

Is Malkin the most underrated player of all time by virtue of playing with Sid? The two could literally finish #3 and #4 all time playoff scoring. They genuinely have enough time to do it.

Crosby was the clear choice for CS. Voters put more weight on the Finals than the rest of playoffs. Geno can win next year for the 3peat!

He's definitely the most underrated player of all time but I am not sure why. I guess a combination of playing behind Sid, not speaking English well, being humble, Russian, etc...

Not voting him in the top 100 is a joke. He's already top 50 easily and will probably be top 25 all time when its all said and done

Yeah I hear ya.. I just feel Geno doesn't get the credit he truly deserves playing in Sids shadow.

I do have one question tho, are we ever gonna win a cup on home ice? Haha

Malkin has always been my favorite player. The beauty of him is that he doesn't care that Sid beat him for the CS and is genuinely happy for him
