This is a great play by Manson but Fisher takes quite the knee here and didn't return.

In theory, I feel like its worth pulling the goalie and having a player on your own blue line to be able to immediately collect and bring back a cleared puck preventing the defence from getting a line change would be better than having a goalie. Noone has ever tried it to see how it works in practice though.

Yeah, Ive always been of the mind that this is a coaching leak, like punting from the opposing 40. pull the goalie, run your 6 on 3, and then put him back out there with about 10 seconds left.

For all 5 on 3 situations? Even 1st period up 2-0?

Man Getzlaf is having himself quite the playoffs. Got me curious about all time playoff performers. lol some of these numbers: http://www.quanthockey.com/nhl/recor...l-players.html

But then showed Malkin in 2008-2009 with 36 pts in 24 games? Wow. I honestly didn't realize that Malkin and Sid were better than ppg in playoffs. Mega elite. Crazy that franchise got to experience Mario-Jagr + Sid-Malkin.

No no, when trailing mostly. If you're trailing in a game, and don't score in a 5 on 3 Ive always thought that is pretty much game over. The momentum changes so much that its damn near imperative to score there.

Malkin is 29th all time, Sid is 26th.

In actual ppg all time playoffs, Sid is 12th, Malkin is 18th

except they didn't score on the 5v3 ... and then they tied it up late

and then they lost the game in OT
(feel like that sort of thing has already happened like 5 times in these playoffs)

it's almost as though MOMENTUM isn't really a thing...

holy ****, Ryan Johansen (thigh) is done for the playoffs

#1C gone

and given that Fisher has 0 points in the playoffs and looks like **** out there, i'm guessing he's hurt too

the 4th line C they dressed last night i'd never heard of before

=good luck vs Getzlaf & Kesler, etc

huge blow to the Preds. They would be better of losing PK.

Covered all my Preds wagers.

Na you're doing it wrong. Johansen is done. They are gonna force a game 7 in Anaheim. In game 7 they are going to lose Forsberg in the 3rd period of a 2-2 game. In OT they are going to lose Josi, but win on a bad bounce.

And then once again the Sens will face an opponent missing all these guys, win, and troll the whole league when they ship vs another beat up team. Montreal and Toronto fans will cry for a decade over the run good Ottawa had.

Now THAT is how you do it.

nah, the Ducks ship the Cup again and then errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryone MAD

they have 2 of the very most hated players in the league and literally zero fans

neither their coach or GM can operate a toaster

a team based on a Disney movie...

But this is why they MUST face Ottawa. Fisher comes back home where he sucks some more.
