i think it should have been a penalty

slashing sticks, especially that high, isn't really stick checking
if it's lower you can at least argue he was making a play on the puck

I just hate the automatic slashing call when a stick breaks. I mean you can argue for this one since he turned his blade over, but most of the time it's not slashing.

I know that too many men on the ice is a penalty, but what about too few men? I think the rangers should voluntarily play the entire game shorthanded just to make it a fair match.

He's been doing it forever, but it was announced that tonight will be his final anthem. Hope it's not due to something like poor health, but I can't figure out a reason that is positive for him to end tonight and not at the end of the playoffs, so maybe it came through in tonight's rendition.
