Speaking of Montreal fans...

I accidentally called 911 at work today for the first and hopefully last time in my life.
Stupid system that outbound calls require you to press 9 and then long distance calls start with a 1

This is pretty naive.

It's not like Subban slashes him when he had the puck and he was trying to dislodge the puck from his possession.

Subban was trying to slash him on the exact spot he slashed him while taking his stick over his shoulders, and choking up on the stick.

His intent was to slash the guy on the bare wrist with a big ass stick and hurt him.

I have a facebook cover photo bet with a friend. Habs vs Sens.
Habs win, I pick his cover photo until Habs eliminated, and vice versa.
Suggestions welcome.

Subban should be banned for life. Not because of the slash, but because he plays for the Canadiens.

watch hockey tonight.
look at what happens to guys in front of the net without the puck.
they get pushed. they get chopped. they get crosschecked. they get tripped. it is not with intent to injure. it's annoying when you're playing hockey and guys are constantly hitting you.

Nope 9-1-1 dials it

Interesting. Whenever I've worked at places that require you to dial 9 for an outside line, you have to dial 9-9-1-1.

I watch hockey every night. That slash is far from the norm and quite vicious. It isn't 1999 anymore.

Uh, this. I laugh every time I see it describe as a two-handed slash.

So what's the deal? Are we doing GDTs?

It isn't a normal slash. I have no problem with a major. There's absolutely no reason you should slash someone above the waist. The puck isn't there, and it's absolutely dangerous.

fwiw, I thought that Subban's intent was to tie up/disrupt Stone's stick to prevent any deflections if Karlsson had shot it. Subban looks away right before he starts the slashing motion- I think he was aiming for the stick and missed.

Sigh. I think he probably intended to injure (not necessarily severely, but for the NHL, "injury" can mean a split lip), but even if he didn't intend it, it did cause injury. The rules say that's five and a game; he got five and a game. Why is this hard?

Right. He intended to slash him on the wrist where there is no padding. He injured him.

See ya
