LOL
so Vigneault is 5-1 in G7s now or something?

Man, that one kinda hurt. It's not that I felt the Caps would be favored next series against the Lightning, and especially not against the WC opponent if they happened to make the SCF. They had the series won in game 5, and I knew deep down what would happen after Kreider scored that goal to tie it. Sports are sports, and they really don't matter in the grand scheme of things, but god dammit, I lost my dad last July, so a Caps Stanley Cup would've meant an awful lot to me and my brother. Maybe it's for the best it doesn't happen during such an emotionally charged time. **** it, congratulations Rangers fans. Ban Uhaul.

That's tough and sure it made it all worse. Rooting for a team together w/your brother is still good stuff, regardless of the outcome.

Was a great series. Sorry to hear about your loss, condolences to you and your family. I'm a Rangers fan solely because my dad and I would watch every game when I was growing up. Some of my most fondest memories.

Stick tap to you sir

But lol Uhaul. And the garden was great, the national anthem was truly amazing. People trashing Rangers fans at the garden haven't been to a game there

Murs,

Exact same thing here. My dad and I had seasons for the Nucks for 20 years and the poor guy never got to see his team win a thing. Passed away three years ago. Kinda hoping my kid doesn't say the same thing about me.

Last conversation we ever had was about the terrible third line we had in 2012 lol.

Feel your pain bro. Sports can suck sometimes.

I appreciate all the condolences. He worked for the Caps for 30 years, which is probably why he passed so soon. I fear they may do the same to me.

Sorry for your loss. My Dad passed away about five years ago. Watching the playoffs with him was one of my favorite things, even though our teams never won anything.

But that's not important, I think the true meaning of sports is bringing people together.

My condolences. As sad as this is, it highlights just how much sports can touch you amd resonate on such a deep level.

I had a similar experience after 9/11 attending the 2002 US open without my cousin who was a fire fighter killed that day. We used to play Bethpage all the time and walking that course without him wads one of the most emotional experiences of my life
