2. The puck goes into the net, rips through the net, then hits the boards so hard that it shatters
3. Ref is forced to find a new puck to use
4. Repeat steps 1-3 until literally every puck in the world is destroyed

Today Braden Holtby slips on a banana peel before the game, knocks his head on the floor, and when he wakes up the magic spell is over. He is no longer Patrick Roy, and is back to being himself. A mediocre run of the mill goalie. Let the lolholtby begin.

lol at calling Holtby a mediocre run of the mill goalie. He's been one of the best goaltenders, pretty consistently, for the past several years. Difference was, the Caps had water trash in front of him, along with Oates and Hunter.

I'm still astounded the Caps are somehow in a position to go to the ECF tonight. I guess I shouldn't be surprised given Holtby's play, but when I look up and down the lineup I see nothing but corpses on ice. Gleason, Orpik, Chimera, Brouwer, Laich all legitimately shouldn't be on an NHL roster. My god, Brouwer played 22 minutes in Game 5. Johansson is a solid player but has been a complete gonger in this series, falling all over himself like a ****ing clown. How is this possible? The Rangers are mediocre too, with a bunch of no-finish phonies, which I supposed explains partially how we're at this point. For all the pub this series has gotten as being great, to me it's been great goaltending, and then a bunch of slogging mediocrity from the skaters. That being said, I think the Caps do close it out tonight, cause if not I'm expecting a Game 7 loss. Both teams suck, nobody deserves to win.
