20,000 seats @ $1,000 is ... a lot of money.

Why wouldn't you go seven games?

meh

2014, Kings v Rangers: 2.8
2013, Blackhawks v Bruins: 3.3
2012, Kings v Devils: 1.8
2011, Bruins v Canucks: 2.7
2010, Blackhawks v Flyers: 3.4
2009, Penguins v Red Wings: 3.1
2008, Red Wings v Penguins: 2.6

the Rangers are NEW YORK sure, but there's not a lot of super compelling stuff there outside of King Hank to draw in randoms. the Hawks might actually move ratings slightly though, as they were involved in the two highest series there as you can see. even if series tops 3.5, or 4.0, so what? the NBC contract runs through the 2020-21 season, so i doubt anything changes.

I dunno. MSL to win one last one and ride out into the sunset. Hawks dynasty. Hank getting a rang as you said. Two original six. It has the makings of a big sports event both quality wise and popularity wise. Certainly a bigger classic than Ducks-Caps may have been (in that theoretical world).

I think we can all agree that Hawks over Ducks is just better for everyone.

what would be the biggest? toronto-chicago ainec right? have to imagine toronto would be the biggest draw in the eastern conference even though its not nearly as large as nyc given drought and probably huge canadian anti-sweat viewership. sadly we'll never know. western conference is pretty shallow for huge draws. tampa-anaheim would be WOAT

No way a Canadian team is in that best potentially SCF ratings-wise. Thank NYR/CHI would be the best it could get.

I'm headed down to NYC tomorrow for the weekend to visit my daughter. We'll have to make due with watching the game in a bar after dinner.

Any suggestions from anyone in the City for where to watch the game. We'll likely be having dinner in the Village.

Depending on what atmosphere you're looking for, Hudson Station (35th and 9th) should be pretty wild.

More people would watch a mtl-tor ecf than any other playoff series. What that means for ratings I don't know. Lol America maybe has 10 million viewers total at its peak

I'm feeling that rumbling in my stomach and bowels. Since I have eaten nothing spicy I have to assume we are within 8 hours of gametime.

I'm not sure I can take this.

Yea I'm at work and all I can think about is how nervous I am. I'm gonna try to get there early for the warmups, do a little meditation and get into game mode when I hear the National Anthem.

LETS GO RANGERS
