Disallowed Goals – Apparent goals shall be disallowed by the
Referee and the appropriate announcement made by the Public
Address Announcer for the following reasons:

When the puck has been directed, batted or thrown into the net by an
attacking player other than with a stick
Then how does explain how the goals that are tipped by a person's skate count during those times when it's not a kicking motion?

It says "directed or batted" ban intentionally tip is different.

Kinda shocked people ITT thought that would count. Pretty standard rule. You can't intentionally bat the puck in with anything but your stick.

Yeah, rules make that obviously not a goal.

If you search through the rule book, they have definitions for "deflected" and "directed". If it inadvertently deflects off of a body part and into the net, then it is a good goal. If it is directed into the goal off a body part, then it is not. What Shaw did was clearly not an inadvertent deflection and therefore is no goal.

Ya, I mean common sense says that's not a goal but at the same time, I've watched thousands of hours of hockey and think I can safely say I've never seen that happen before.

you've been tired at work before. No one remembers a sleepy day at work. A triple OT game lives on forever.

I'm 100% sure head butting the puck in is allowed and they got the call wrong here. That was play of the year.

Tkachuk also scored a goal off his face against the Blackhawks and lost a bunch of teeth. You are allowed to deflect a puck off anything, but you can't forcefully put it in.
