Much prefer Montreal's schedule vs Detroit than the abortion of a schedule vs Tampa.

The correct move is to pull the goalie immediately. The difference between 6 vs 4 and 5 vs 4 is insane.

sylar, I wouldn't do that in squirts though.
It's much easier to defend a 6-on-4 than it is to defend a 5-on-3. Both give one team a two-man advantage but a 6-on-4 allows the defending team to cover the four corners of the offensive zone as well as all of the passing lanes while a 5-on-3 doesn't.

I actually sort of agree with Goose. If JC doesn't take a penalty there then I'm for sure pulling Halak early but if you're given the gift of a power-play down 1 with 3 minutes to go in a game 7 you just play it out with the man advantage and pull with a minute to go once it expires. I just think it's silly to take an unnecessary risk there when you already have a man-advantage. Had they pulled with 2:50 left and Washington scored on an routine clear you'd all have been like "Why did Capuano pull there?! They had a full PP ffs." You don't have to be that aggro in that spot.

No games today of course but a friendly reminder that McJesus and his Erie Otters are playing the SSM Greyhounds at 4pm PST on Sportsnet in the game 4 of OHL conference finals. Otters lead series 2-1.

When the Jets would lose to the Oilers, the Flames and the Canucks, I would hope for that team to win, then I could propose the Jets were the second best team, which they probably were in a couple of years.

FAIR???? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

He's made that hit a 100 times without even a penalty and now you think its fair to suspend him in the playoffs? GTFO

Rules have changed since he's hit guys like that previously. Obv, the league has taken measures to protect hits against the head and this is the world we live in. 5 years ago I would've been adamant against a suspension of this kind.

Quite a bit of rough stuff in this OHL game. Most of you should probably stay away for fear of offending your sensibilities.

SYF pretty sure I've seen Kronwall make that hit a few times in the last 5 years.

Fair? Palat made a similar hit along the boards on Glendening in the same game, no suspension. Karlsson made an identical hit and no suspension. Subban 2 hand slashed Stone in the arm away from the play, no suspension. Buff straight up sucker punches Perry in the back of the head, no suspension. Kronwall gives a boardline charging hit, one game suspension?

That was the most violent Kronwall hit I've ever seen which is saying a lot considering some of the hits he's had in his career.

Way more violent than Havlat, Clowe, Voracek, Kesler and anyone else he's hit over the years

The only reason it looked more violent is because he wasn't protecting himself at all. Fishing out in front of himself for the puck with his head down with Kronwall as the dman on that side. That's bush league play and should be crushed.

I would love to see that hit not be penalized. I wonder how many suspensions Scott Stevens would have in today's NHL.
