So pumped. Watched the game with my best friend, who I met in Gr. 5 when we were both wearing Flames sweaters on the first day of school. We've been waiting a long time for a return to relevance.

This team has some major flaws but there are a lot of great young pieces in the setup; I hope this is just the beginning. If Tre can build a legit 2nd d-pairing and add a top six play driver, to a core that has Monahan/Gaudreau/Bennett/Backlund/Brodie/Gio for the foreseeable future - along with kids like Ferland, Jooris, Gillies, Hickey etc. - they could build something special.

GG to the Canucks, who were desperately unlucky in this series. The Sedins were dominant and this league is gonna miss them when they retire. Feels like the end of a window for the franchise, but the peak was elite and it's a shame it didn't end in a ring; like the '04 Flames and '06 Oilers, there's no more gutwrenching feeling but you need to acknowledge the accomplishment of getting that close.
