Spoke with my Uncle earlier . He lives just outside of Van and is a season ticket holder from day 1.
All 4 Canucks games for the SCF are sold out. Scalpers will be asking 2k or more for lower bowl seats. Thats per seat. 1K or a little less for the upper bowl per seat.
Scalpers are the only place to get them unless you know someone who has a couple of extra seats.

Bruins will probably be sold out before the end of today.

$1.00 CAD is currently worth about $1.02 USD, so my $100 CAD win is worth about $102 USD. If Blue Celery wants to send me this apparently worthless $2 then he can feel free.

I'd also recommend everyone go back and watch the game between Boston and Vancouver, in Vancouver, on February 26, 2011. It was bar none the best game of the year on a solid Hockey Night in Canada Saturday. Boston won 3-1 and Vancouver's only goal was Manny Malholtra. Milan Lucic had a 3 point night in his hometown. Do you know the last time a player stood out to defeat his hometown in the Stanley Cup playoffs?

Spoiler:
Cam Ward was raised in Sherwood Park, Alberta; a suburb of Edmonton.

Instead of "herp-a-durrrr, Boston can't score on PP!" why aren't people asking "what if Boston's PP gets clicking?" Well then what? The team made it to the finals with what, 1 goal on the PP so far? Hmm no... Boston won't be dangerous at all if they get the PP going, and they definitely can't win games without it!

Well, I doubt I'll convince anyone by talking straight, reasonable facts, so I'll let the games do the talking. I am looking forward to see how Don Cherry deals with his team playing against the pride of Canada. It's not like Boston is playing Nashville or Columbus where he could be completely biased. It will be interesting to see how he manages avoiding offending the entire Canadian Western seaboard.

Flyers Girl confirmed via text that she's reluctantly cheering for the Canucks because she hates the Bruins too much. I pleaded with her to change her mind. She refused.

I think we're done.

Right, I expect with the season ticket base, that there are very few tickets to be sold, but I was assuming there would be at least some, since there were in the first 3 rounds. However, the fact that they still haven't announced anything makes me wonder if they have enough extra requests this round that there won't be any. If they are sold out, an announcement to that effect would've been nice too.

As well, for a while now I've been resigned to the fact that I'll be watching these at home. Although I'd love to get to some games, I'm too cheap to pay $700-1,000 per seat. It was so much easier to get tickets back in '94!

Yeah, it's a Canadian thing, but we're not all like that. Some Canadians do a lot of hand-wringing about how long it's been since a "Canadian" team won the Stanley Cup, since this is Canada's game, blah blah blah. My argument to them is that a Canadian team wins every year, since most teams are about half Canadian anyway.

Right now, Bruins tickets are about $450-$750 a piece on StubHub for balcony. Once you get over $750 you can start thinking lower sections. It's possible these prices could come down slightly in the coming week before Game 3.

Anyone know how much they'll cost through the box office on Tuesday? I know they'll be sold out in like 5 minutes, just curious if they're any cheaper.

I wouldn't root for the Oilers, Flames, Leafs or Sens. NACKZ are cool though.

I just bought two tickets for game 1, lower bowl for 1500.

Game 2 will be bad, because it's a Saturday night. I would expect lowers to go for 1k each.

Remaining tickets for games in Boston go on sale on Tuesday through ticketmaster.

Goose, you're right. If Boston gets their pp going, they could win this series. But don't expect them to score a lot of goals 5on5 against the GOAT nux.

So do you know what's up with Vancouver tickets on Ticketmaster? Just not happening this round?

If Vancouver does end up winning the Stanley Cup this year, their victory will surely be completely marred by the horrible call on Shea Weber in Game 3 of the WCQF; and the flukiest goal of all time by Kevin Bieksa to advance to the finals doesn't help.

My prediction is that if Vancouver wins, it will be looked upon as the most undeserving win in NHL history. Similar to if Los Angeles had won in 1993.

Spanish flu outbreak series cancellation ONE TIME!

If anyone wants to take a break from watching car racing & tennis this afternoon, turn on CBC. Jim Hughson is hosting a spelling bee. It will be interesting to see how he avoids homering the people from Vancouver in this event.

I don't really get it either if the basis was purely geographical. I do cheer for Canadian teams when they are still in the playoffs and the Canucks aren't though because I want fans who really care to get the cup. I think fans in all the Canadian markets are quite passionate whereas some US cities don't care all that much. That said I'd cheer for a teams like SJ, Chicago and even Boston (not this series though obv) because I think they have really good fans.

It doesn't seem like the rest of Canada is behind the Canucks though from the general feeling I get. Vancouver has always had a disconnect with the rest of the country though so I'm not surprised.
