I'll say this, mostly to Vancouver fans: Just because Vancouver beat San Jose and Detroit was bad enough this year to make the Sharks look somewhat good does not mean that Vancouver is a lock. I think this series goes 6-7 games as well, Vancouver has a slight edge.
That's the way I see it too. Surprised they are considered such a big favorite. Hope they win though. F Boston.
how much is malhotra going to play if he comes back though?
Probably 4th line duties early on, perhaps taking over his old spot at some point. Honestly I'm not all that surprised that he's back. As long as he can see well enough and has a protective shield what's the risk in bringing him back? He's obv way better than Lapierre.
Wtf, am I seriously the only one who thinks Boston is going to win the cup? Why are they +200 everywhere? Has no one actually watched Tim Thomas play? Is no one aware of the physicality Boston can bring to the table which is completely unmatched by any other NHL team (except for like New York Islanders?) Do people not realize that Horton-Bergeron-Seguin-Krejci-Lucic-Kelly-Marchand-Recchi-Ryder actually IS three first lines? I have a hard time believing all this.
And for the love of God Boston, if you are up 3-0 going into game 4. Dress Savard.
ftr I think Vancouver wins the first two, then Boston wins the next four.
yea, don't quite understand why everyone is basically all over vancouver in 5ish. bruins are 12-4 since losing the first 2 to mtl and have been a completely different team. bruins in 6 is probably the best pick of team/games combo.

You will make a fortune betting on the Bruins +190 then.

LOL eastern conference
They wouldn't have made it past the Wangz/chokez in the 2nd round if they were in the west
Bruins have a higher g/g and lower ga/g than Vancouver in the playoffs
defense tho
well for g/g, the boston-philly series skewed those stats big time because of LOLBobrovsky/Bouch/Leighton. I mean they had 5 goals per game average, while the nux had to face Pekka ****ing Rinne and "epic beard" Weber.
For sure, which is why you probably want to ease him along slowly the first couple games before putting him back in his familiar role of taking every single defensive zone faceoff on the third line.
I'm wondering what the Bruins have that the followings teams don't have? Blackhawks, Predators, Chokez.
The Canucks have faced goalies that can stand on their head and steal a game. They have faced top lines in the NHL, incredible defensive units in CHI/NSH...their special teams have been tested and passed with flying colors.
You won't find a single analyst that will tell you the Bruins can keep up with the Canucks skaters.
Both teams have solid scoring, solid D, shaky goaltending at times (but most times very good LDO). The Bruins have an edge on the 4th line, that could change if Manny returns and skates well and wins those d-zone draws the Canucks have missed so much.
Some say the Bruins have an edge 5 on 5, I say time will tell that story.

Because Vancouver's a vastly superior team in pretty much every respect except for goaloltending which is close to a wash?
