Think bridging might have been best for him at this point if you're sure that RFAs won't get sold out next CBA, but they probably will, so, yeah

Good job Kyle Dubas you and the Leafs agreed with me that Nylander wasn't worth Pasta money. It's less than Pasta $$ cap adj. with some nice front end loading for a lower cap hit later.

The rest of my feelings are summed up quite succinctly by a post on HF.

Well, they could trade Nylander, Kapanen, or whoever for D if they want to

Also some talk that Gardiner might take a relative discount to stay

And unloading Marlo's contract would obv help, if that's possible

Anderson and the whole team played nervous in the playoffs and the D possibly still needs a piece but Nylander played scared and that is unacceptable for an NHL player. Either way for now our 2nd place overall team just got better which is why you guys are getting riled.

up to @ Van. 11/17. calgary outplayed us badly first 2 periods but managed to get the rough road win...no real fights but they went at it a few times.

I really don't think this is true. The League has generally come to realize how valuable defensemen are. If they try to trade a forward for a D it's going to look something like Hall for Larsson and that's the kind of thing that will get you tarred and feathered in Toronto.
