Auston Matthews with a beautiful snipe. The Leafs outshot the Hawks at even strength 44-7 after the first period. This team is for real. Or the Hawks are having some major regression this season.

after 9 years running the Puck Daddy blog at Yahoo, Greg Wyshynski‏ is moving to ESPN, i would imagine to do something similar over there. so ESPN will finally have legitimate hockey content worth checking out? anything is poss-i-bullllllllll

fanta$ytalk: fairly annoyed at the accuracy of injury info in the NHL. for example, before the season the Bumz were saying that Bergeron's injury was basically nothing and he'd probably start the season fine. now he's already ruled out of their 3rd game tomorrow, still day-to-day as the days continue to pass... ugh

Habs roster has its problems, but think its gonna start bouncing their way too.

Carolina seems real under team, at least against some other teams that are pretty solid defense-wise. They look really compact, sticks and players in right places, good marking. But can´t create grade-A chances. Need like four good passes to create a look, Teräväinen obv won´t out-muscle anyone all season but not many others either. Pretty big contrast to the Wpegs and Dallases of the world.
