How is this format for a trade deadline contest in here? Posters message me with 5 trades.

Example:

Hoffman to Nashville for 1st and a 2nd

If you get Hoffman right you get 10 pts. If you get Nashville right you get 50 pts. If you get the return right (but not the team necessarily) you get 100 pts. If you get the player, the destination and the return right you get bonus 200 pts.

So on any given trade you can either score 10, 60, 110, or 360 if I'm thinking about this right. Going to say that you don't need to get the draft year right. A 1st rounder is all you need to say, not 2018 or 2019.

If that works for people I'll post official rules and you should all start sending me your stuff soon. We've only missed a couple.

Pretty great trade for the Pens. Really strong on forwards now.

I thought they were planning on keeping Cole tho. With him included I guess that means they play Hunwick and Hunwick sucks really bad. Ottawa must have wanted Cole because he is UFA after this season...MORE money for Melnyk!

Edit: Apparently the Sens plan on flipping Cole..Don't even have to wait a few months for Melnyk to save those precious $$$$$$

hmm, this is annoying

if the Sens are retaining salary on Brassard
i don't think they can do so on Bobby Ryan
because iirc you only have 2 slots for that
and they just used one on Dion
which means this Karlsson+Ryan thing will probably happen in the summer rather than now, when teams have more space
because who has $13.75MM in cap space to absorb those 2 contracts straight up now?*
