I've been pleasantly surprised with Rutherford. Kessel trade. Was able to trade the corpse of Scuderi for Trevor Daley. Replaced Tanner Glass with Matt Cullen. Replaced Sutter with Bonino. He made a couple of bad trades like trading for Reeves and Ben Lovejoy. He brought Karamanos's son to run the Pens analytics department and then hired one of the War on Ice founders, which seems pretty progressive for an old guy.

With Lou I cant get past the facial hair thing. If Im Austin Mathews and I want to grow a goatee, **** off old man.

EDM-COL in german free tv today. McD speed and stickhandling is crazy. Not sure what happened to Johnson. Didnt seem very brutal.

since we're coming up to the deadline... are there any sites doing prospect rankings like a bunch of sources do in baseball? Or anywhere close to that really? I only know of the pre-draft rankings being done which seems stupid.

Yeah more like organisational, top 100 like stuff.

I know of the pre-draft rankings but obv they're not that interesting for non-lottery teams

oh ok, ya the best organizational stuff tends to be paywalled these days, like Pronman (ESPN), and there's someone decent i forget doing that kind of stuff for The Athletic iirc

Button recently released a top-50 prospect list, but it might not really be what you're asking about, and i don't rate his opinion too highly anyway

someone's probably doing the same for Sportsnet, but if it's not being done by one of the young bucks on hockey, it's probably worse than Button

Yeah HF analysis was probably crap but at lead they had a comprehensive list. But an overview of name, team, age, position and if he could become something or not would be enough for me.

Scott Wheeler had an article recently, seems to have come over from McKeen. Have not followed him so no idea. Might be some others but haven´t taken notice.

Pronman think I read some stuff before, but now have read at athletic and think he is fantastic, work machine too. Does not post too often but has to watch a TON of prospect hockey. Him and Justin Bourne easily worth subscription, like Mirtle and a couple of others too. Some meh stuff too, kinda think theres more of that creeping in.

I've got nothing against paywalls and would prob subscribe to the Athletic in a heartbeat if I weren't mad they've got Cities like Columbus but not Boston (suspicions about them being sportswriting's Uber aside).

But as I said just some super basic stuff would suffice for me. Thanks for the links anyway 72o

It's almost identical to Russell's signing with the Oil. Every single other fan base will collectively breathe a huge sigh of relief when Gud re-signs with the Canucks. Everyone but the people that should know, know its bad but they do it anyway. Really quite comical.
