Went to Leafs games last night (as a Rangers fan, of course). That slashing call on Hayes was BS and cost them any chance at winning the game. He tapped the Leafs player on the thigh, something that happens like 100 times per game. A lot of bad calls in that game, actually.

Anyway, the Rangers are sadly kind of ****ed for this season I think. There's talent there, and maybe they turn it around, but it's awfully hard to win when all your best forwards are wingers, and another year of deterioration by Lundqvist is going to be rough for them.

Also - DeAngelo is cartoonishly terribly at decision making with the puck.

I was ok with the idea of trading Stepan, and who know, maybe DeAngelo can turn it around (the talent is clearly there). But it was kind of a bad idea to trade a competent center with no real plan to get a replacement.
