Things I love:

Oreo ice cream sandwiches < coo/cold sheets < chicken mcnuggets with hot mustard sauce < beating the Habs in Montreal < a hand job < the first Rage Against the Machine album < SIIHP < Finding some old wallet with 17,000 bitcoins in it

That gives you a sense of how enjoyable it is

For all the complaining and biatching that went on about the Metro 5th and 6th Place teams 4-6 weeks ago it sure has stopped now that their interdivision play has ramped up. Things have really balanced out there. Last year was a total fluke and no way was that being duplicated again. I still expect New Jersey to fall out once the 60 plus games catch up to the rookies who are more or less keeping that team afloat. The Isles should also continue falling off with their bad defense and injuries. I expect it’ll be Washington Pitt NYR CBJ PHI in the end

Despite how well they've played, everyone in the Central is catching The Jets. It will be a dogfight just to make the playoffs.

5 teams are likely to come from the Central. The bottom two teams are Minnesota and Chicago.

Maybe all 7 teams will be behind only Las Vegas from the Pacific.

A couple of years ago I had this thought that the way to score had changed and some teams like The Jets didn’t get the memo.

And then earlier this year it looked like they had the key.

But lately we sure seem to make a lot goalies look amazing.

This goalie hasn’t won since November, sure looks amazing.

Thoughts?
Bunch of baloney.

Players are usually not getting into town until quite late at night, after having played and then travelled to get there. It's not like most of these guys haven't ever been to Vegas before, and it's not like there aren't a million tourists from Canada who'd be taking pictures and posting on social media if this was happening.

Vegas is doing well for mainly one reason: they have a pretty good team. There might be an argument that NHL players are creatures of habit, and a new city/arena means they come in for the first time without their routine set, and are a little bit off for the games.

Then again, Torts tho:

Torts on #CBJ players having fun in Vegas “I want them to go out. Playing guilty is a big part of being a really good player in the [NHL]. We don’t do that anymore. Heaven forbid! We have agents, and their whole entourage making sure u drink that carrot juice, and all this stuff"

LVK are 13-9-2 on the road.
They are for real. Recently bet them +250 to win the Pacific when they were about 75% to win it. The market is just catching up on them.

Btw, they are 2.5 points from their pre-season total points over/under.

Edit:
Wpg is 17-3-1 at home. Is there a Winnipeg Flu?

Palat out 6-8 weeks due to a chicken **** play by Spurgeon. Curious to see if Player Safety takes that one up.

No talk about the Leafs disallowed goal in here for goalie interference?

Loose puck behind the Avs goalie who doesn't know where it is, Matthews knocks it in hitting the Avs blocker and stick on the way to the puck. No one on the ice including the goalie complains about interference.
Are the refs looking at the replays or are they guys in Toronto who haven't played hockey before?

I think it’s closer than people think. Matthews contacts Bernier’s arm/stick before the puck is loose behind Bernier.

Matthews reaction was hilarious and his celebration after scoring a minute later was awesome.

ya i didn't really think that goalie interference call was worth complaining about, in skating through the goalie's arm he took him out and made it impossible for him to make the play on it

Who makes the decision when a goal gets reviewed? Do the guys in the 'war room' in Toronto tell the ref what call to make or do they have a discussion, so they're both contributing to the call?

Just wondering after the Leafs bench lost it on the ref and the announcers said Toronto almost got a bench minor.

Haven't heard the acc get that loud in a while though, so that was nice Leafs fans in Ottawa on Saturday were louder than the acc ever gets
