They play Edmonton in two weeks. It's cheaper to fly from Edmonton to Vegas for the weekend, get a room and tickets to the game than it is to see a home game in Edmonton. I had a heck of a time trying to get tickets for it.

If you deem their core to be McDavid/Draisaitl/Nuge/Puljujarvi/Klefbom/Nurse/Larsson/Talbot, then with your untradeables, you have 63-64M (depending on Nurse's RFA contract) of next year's cap already allocated for just 11 players. Plus 1.3M burned up to buyout Pouliot for no reason at all.

Ideal move at this point (assuming you have no way to get rid of any of the NMC guys)? Move Draisaitl. His value relative to performance is enormous, his cap savings would be tremendous. You can move him and take back a very useful 4-5M player without crushing the team.

What will happen? Nuge and Klefbom will somehow be traded for nothing.

It's very difficult to be an Oilers fan and see the hardest parts (finding elite scorers, solid goaltending, no long term cap problems) all in place, and them destroy it.

Any comments from Aznbluff? Getting rid of Hall and Eberle does not seem to be working out peachy.

Aznbluff might or might not be Marc Spector.

More like old man Thornton took a swing, missed and fell to the ice pulling Kadri down with him like he a was some sort of human life preserver. He costs his team a 5min major to start the game, contributed 1 shot on goal for the entire game and inspired his team to a 3-2 loss on the night.
