The most frustrating thing about the Melnyk situation is that he was literally days away from dying a few years ago. Him getting that liver transplant was the sickest beat for Sens fans.

Whenever I get disillusioned with the old European model of public sports club ownership, stuff like this keeps pulling me back. Fans shouldn't have to root for a person to die in order to have hope for their team, yet here we are.

but they won't confirm he suffered a concussion, because then they'd have to explain why he wasn't pulled from the game when it (very obviously) happened

regardless, Babcock MAD that Auston isn't back yet, because he dgaf about silly things like brain injuries

which is the absurdity of the NHL in a nutshell
i mean if you aren't serious about concussions when it comes to your 20yo franchise player, then when?

It is a win. The difference between last night and tonight was mostly St. Louis’ hot goalie and a few bounces.

Back to Nashville, Boston and then Brooklyn.

Nashville beat the Jets convincingly last time, four straight goals.

It was not obvious. It wasn't a particularly hard collision and it looked like a basic coco bonk on the nose. No one at the time it happened was thinking that it was a possible concussion.

The way AM immediately put his head down and just skated over to the bench had me concerned it was something somewhat significant, then when he didn’t play the next game I figured he must be concussed
