Flyers hoping they can re-sign him at a cut rate?
Elliott out for six weeks and Neuvirth got hurt against the Rangers yesterday; purely a depth move.

certainly a factor, but i wouldn't say PURELY a depth move, given that he's very likely the best goalie they have now, he's only 26, and they could get him re-signed long-term at a very reasonable number

anyway, conditions:

Quote:
Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie

DET guaranteed no less than a 4th round for Mrazek. If PHI makes playoffs and Mrazek wins 5 games for PHI in reg season, 4th becomes a 3rd. If PHI advances to CF, and Mrazek wins six playoff games, the 3rd becomes a 2nd. If PHI re-signs him next season, DET gets PHI 3rd in 19.

Been meaning to comment on this and you are exactly right. Lou is the person I trust least in the Leaf head office. If they were to do something stupid like get Gudbranson he would surely be to blame. The sooner he is gone the better. I think the Leafs are succeeding in spite of him right now. I mean anyone who can do this in public and while simultaneously having issues with facial hair is someone who clearly has no self awareness whatsoever.

Melnyk was this close to dying. And now this...

I'm bailing on the NHL if Ottawa sells Karl for pennies on the dollar. Supporting this ****show is too painful.

Absolutely love Karlsson. Was mesmorized watching him when he played in Finland and in the club I "hate" during lock-out. Anyway, trading him is the smart move, right? If get rid of Ryan contract, and get a big haul? What would be % or re-signing him anyway?

Karlsson in Tampa, that would be unreal.

Pronman posted an article on the Athletic yesterday with the propsect lists of every team likely to be buyers at the deadline (Boston, Calgary, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Tampa, StLouis, Winnipeg, Toronto). The value for this site is incredible, would highly recommend to anyone uncertain about it.

Well you're DEFINITELY an Ottawa sports fan then. Ottawa sports fans are world famous quitters. No sport really ever lasts there. You could all help bolster the French army frankly.

Meanwhile Bruins trade for Holden. Kind of whatever trade, body on the left if one of the main guys gets hurt. 3rd is gonna be super late, and O'Gara probably is what he is at his current age.

lol, first thought on reading this was that how can Bobby Ryans contract be a negative thing, seems a decent player to get in a trade.

Oh boy is that a contract

Seems a terrible idea to include him in your Karlsson trade though, why hurt your return for Karlson when you aren't going to be cup competing after trading him anyway?

Trade Karlsson for the best return you can get, then try to dump Ryan down the line

because this is the only way they could possibly unload that contract?

and saving money is legit the only thing Melnyk cares about

Coyotes have showed that there is always a chance

Didn't realise the senators have just noone anyone would want that they could trade with Ryan. Duchene seems their only trade piece

Welp guess its over, just got to hope they don't screw up their next superstar

I said I'd stop being a fan of the NHL. I'm not gonna jump ship and start supporting the ****ing Leafs. I'll just take up rock-climbing or something. Fans of teams like the Browns who pay billionaires their hard-earned money to buy tickets they can't afford, so they can watch their team lose every night are losers.

Yeah, but you can save enough money by dumping Karl for a bunch of elite prospects and picks. It's not like this team is trying to get to the basement (in terms of salary, we're already there in the standings), they just need to shave some off the top.

Hoffman the next guy to be dumped for magic beans probably

Karlsson gets traded in the summer probably
(if he won't re-sign)

yeah, could have been for more money or longer term

it's not so bad if they fire Benning in 2-2.5 years, but they probably won't do that, because they're complete ****ing idiots ldo

Canucks: we like Gudbranson because he's like hard to play against 'n' stuff

uhhh, he doesn't seem that hard to play against

but hey, here's $12M for that 30-game sample when you had a slightly better Relative xGF% than guys like Troy Stecher, Alex Biega, Philip Larsen, and Even Mceneny

this **** is legit incredible
