Took a flyer on Winnipeg to win the Central at +1250.

Really? Goalies, age, systems, size. I got worries.

I'm not really confident in Edmonton or Toronto either. All frauds.

Toronto has Hainsey [Hockey Related Ron] listed as first pair. Cups?

Maybe all teams in the league will get worse for a few years.

This is good news.

Why does Nashville drop off?

Drop off from Stanley Cup Final Leeds or from Eight in the West Preds?

1. SCF hangover stuff
2. Ryan Ellis out most of the year
3. Pekka Rinne still sucks and is a year older
4. lost James Neal and Carrie Underwood
5. replaced them with old bums like Bonino & Hartnell
6. Johansen, Fiala & Bonino all coming off of injuries
7. they weren't actually that good last season

they should probably make the playoffs, but it wouldn't be at all surprising if they were a wild card team again

Pretty much. Nashville, Ottawa and St. Louis all have pretty bad injury issues coming into the season of playoff teams. I wouldn't be shocked if all 3 missed out because of this.

Edmonton and Anaheim are as close to locks as they come to make the playoffs. The Pacific isn't good. Getting to play Vegas and Vancouver a lot will give Mcdavid career numbers.

Ducks could be ripe for a fall

Kesler will miss half the season
Lindholm & Vatanen will miss ~4-8 weeks
they lost some D insurance to Vegas in Shea Theodore
Getzlaf, Eaves, Bieksa, and Ryan Miller are all banged up to start the season
like half their team is old & slow as hell (aka Perry seems finished)
they're still coached by Lol Randy

probably should be Oilers & Flames in the division, but Lol Mike Smith will cost the latter
Ducks in as 2 or 3 probably, Sharks & Kings in the mix
Coyotes could be frisky, Canucks could be pesky if they stay healthy (but they never do)
Vegas should be the worst team in the league

Winnipeg now favored as expected at Pinny, Cris and Matchbook.

Don't let the smooth taste fool you.

Tonight.

I somewhat think that Smith will be fine, just cause the D in Calgary is so good it will help out a ton. Then again I just saw Barry Melrose was up on the Flames. Also said a bunch of other stuff I agreed on, getting scary. Ana does have a lot of injuries, if they start off slow it might get dicey. Just need to get Hampus back asap though.

Pretty excited for Jets-Leafs, should be a good one!

Hockey is back!!!

Let see how the reffing is to start the season. Could be lots of penalties if they truly want to crack down on slashing.

Ah the old visor violation penalty. Don't see that one very often.

That's a soft penalty on Trouba but I'd actually like it if they called it all season. Hooking a guy behind the play just to slow him down on the back-check. One of those things that's clearly a penalty by rule but hasn't been called regularly ever. Just no need to hook anyone there
