WOW! What a game and what a series!! I cant remember a series having as much drama as it did for the 1st round of the playoffs EVER! Crawford was amazing, Luongo was solid and came huge with his save on sharp in OT and Burrows wow! Goes from Goat to Hero in less than two minutes to cap off an epic night. Best game of the season by far!

I don't think I've ever seen such a make or break game as game 7 between Canucks and Blackhawks.

I mean, if you lose game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals, at least you still had a very successful playoff run. If the Canucks had lost today, it would've been the biggest collapse in NHL playoff history. Now, with the win, they face Nashville in a series and are suddenly a cup contender again.

After game 5 I said to anyone that would listen that I'm not going to game 7 because wife and I spent $300 each for best seats in the house and they **** the bed. I was obviously bluffing and didn't know it.

Still hadn't realized this afternoon that I was going to pay whatever it took, so wife and I went downtown to FBT's restaurant for an early dinner and if we could get in cheap we would run over. I have a close friend that is a scalper so he was going to let me know what was available.

Had dinner and a couple pops, called my buddy and his direct quote was "It's off the hook man people are getting $500 a seat for clubs."

Told wife and she said "lets go down and see". LOL. That means lets pay whatever it takes.

Walk down and no tickets at all. Someone walks up to my buddy and says I have an extra two, give me $550 for both and you can have them. He turns and asks me if I want them. Scalping, how does it work?

First period starts and Kesler goes into beast mode and walks around Keith (!) after a bad Hawks change, Leddy stands around with his thumb up his ass, leaves Burrows alone for the tap in. Place goes nuts. Loudest I've heard it in quite some time.

So much of the game is a blurr. When did Kesler run Hjalmarsson? Spent a bunch of the game admiring the work of Hamhuis and Bieksa. Our best pair by far. Ya, the Bieksa brain fart on the Toews goal was bad but he was awesome the last two games.

As far as the crowd goes, not quite the same. Olympics is special and fans are more patriotic than team-loyal so it was more of a party last year.

The game was very similar to that game though. The home team dominates both games and give up a late one, but then battle back and win it in overtime behind Luongo.

Have to say this one was more a relief than a conquest. That's still to come.
