Kings buy out Phaneuf (OTT was in for 25%)
'19-20: $2.917M ($2.1875 for #LAKings)
'20-21: $5.417M ($4.0625 for #LAKings)

Not bad for SJ. Karlsson is 29 so 8 years is too long. In 4-5 years it will be a terrible deal but no way around it, EK isn't signing anywhere that isn't max term. As long as he stays healthy for the next 4 years SJ will come out ok value wise.
