Habs announce the trade, Max Domi for Alex Galchenyuk straight up.
lol, wow

Adam Gretz @AGretz

Galchenyuk is only a year older than Domi and 19-goals, 50 points is a disappointing year for him.

Max Domi had 18 goals...

... In 141 games over the past two years.

I don't know, man.
like, unless Galchenyuk has some Hoffman-esque baggage, wtf

Serious question: Does anyone, anywhere whose last name isn't Bergevin or Molson think that Bergevin isn't the worst GM in the league? Canucks fans, Edmonton fans, take your Bennings and your Chirallis and shove them up your ass, they aren't even close. Not even ****ing close anymore. Jesus H jumped up Christ on a chariot driven sidecar what the ****ing ****. Someone post the "Stop he's already dead" scene from that Simpon's episode.

****ing Bergevin has absolutely ****ed the Habs for years, literally years.

Regardless of how much of the nonsense we hear is true or not, it completely tanks Hoffman and Karlson's trade value. One or both has to be moved and everyone knows it. Ottawa should get Bergevin on the phone, he'd probably overpay for Hoffman and say to himself "I'll just turn him into a center!!!"
I mean, it's definitely tanked Hoffman's trade value but I don't really understand why people think it'll do the same to Karlsson's.

1) It doesn't really matter that teams know the Sens will be trading Karlsson. That's already pretty obvious since they were allegedly minutes away from trading him at the deadline. It's sort of been understood that Karlsson and Melnyk simply can't co-exist anymore and since Melnyk doesn't look to be going anywhere any time soon, Erik will be packing his bags.

2) He's still Erik ****ing Karlsson. I'd bet there will be at least a dozen--maybe more--teams interested in acquiring him. That's more than enough to build a market. The thought of trading him makes me borderline suicidal but we'll get a decent package for him.

3) Some people have said: Why would any team trade for him when they could just sign him in free-agency a year from now? Look, this is a guy who has already sustained two career-threatening injuries to his lower body. He's also already divorced ($$$). I don't think for one second he'd risk playing next season without a contract extension. I think if any halfway competitive/stable team acquires him and offers him like $10M AAV for 8 years, he snap signs. I'm convinced the Rangers will make a strong push for him.

also lol bergevin oh no baby what is you doin

IIRC un Lucic's 30 goal season he had like seven ENGs. Lol at 4/9 though. Lol Bergevin.

Agree that Karlsson's trade value shouldn't be hurt. It was obvious they were gonna trade him once he turned down extension offers. Maybe this killed the last 0.1% chance of him signing but that's it. And as long as there's a bidding war, it doesn't matter anyway.

(Unless GMs around the league now view Karlsson as soft because he let himself be harassed. Can't entirely rule that out in this league.)

All of this. I love the Habs, but this moron, and the morons that preceded him, have gutted this team like a fish.

Hard to even feel anger anymore at these kind of moves, just expect these [ or worse. ] Tsn Montreal should be lit next week.

At first I assumed this tweet was a really good troll and got a good laugh. After a minute or so I realized it was from the team account. Oh man... my stomach hurts.

Most of what I've heard is Zadina may drop slightly due to Koetkiniemi moving up and some teams looking for D. I would be shocked if he fell out of the top 5.

Hughes will be the second D drafted, and can't see how he gets past 6th at absolute worst. No one cares about him skipping the combine.
