"9 teams interested blah blah" like it's getting legit radio talk in Boston in mid June

I know you shouldn't judge by appearance etc but seeing that picture in the Citizen article, would not surprise me if Hoffmann's gf really is straightjacket level insane

apparently the Bruins are in on him and it's getting heated debates on if they should kick the tires on the 2nd line. I'm personally out on him, I doubt he can play.

Regarding Kovalchuk, I think he can still be an ok scorer but mainly as a still great PP weapon. Bruins aren't hurting on the PP and would be crazy to get in on the bidding, I suspect he'd be much more valuable to another team (and paid accordingly).

Only bad news from Ottawa these day. The Sens have completely imploded. This level of dysfunction is unprecedented.

Don't see how Ottawa comes back from this. They have to get rid of Hoffman obviously (for which they'll get a highly discounted return), and I suspect Karlsson is going to say I'm out of this BS situation as well, again for pennies on the dollar. Some lean lean times coming in Senator land.

Why is it that every hockey-related thing on TPT is depressing as ****?

Video of Carcillo talking about his concussions and his life after NHL:

ah and let's just throw another log on the fire as it appears Pierre Dorian's burner account has been exposed...

would be pretty surprised if that was Dorian, but easily could be someone else in the organization, or a friend/family

then again, the Sens are a year away from ECF G7 OT, so far from impossible that it's just some deranged superfan

i mean ****, the Canucks have been straight trash for about 5 years now and they have like a 1000 of those dudes flying around defending literally everything Benning does (and blaming literally everything on the previous regime that built a championship caliber team) for unknown ****ing reason

Yeah this was quite common on hfboards when I used to post there (pray for my soul). There's nothing those guys love than have a good sigh and then explain how GMing in the NHL *really* works. You know, to the suckers who never played the game and think silly things like scoring is important...

But it's weird that the account only ever replies.

current state of the draft, according to Big Bobby Mack, fwiw:

Jokke Nevalainen @JokkeNevalainen

So based on what was said on #Bobcast, sounds like it's Zadina, Dobson, Kotkaniemi and Tkachuk from #3 to #6 in some order, and after that it's probably Bouchard, Hughes, Wahlstrom and Boqvist rounding out the top 10. Kravtsov and Hayton could be after that.
sounds about right
but Dobson & Hughes should swap spots, though the thing that should happen doesn't always

So we got a cup, it's a start. Dubas banking the first leg of a historic double. Still haven't figured out how the Stars scored their only goal tonight without the puck ever having entered the net.

Regardless of how much of the nonsense we hear is true or not, it completely tanks Hoffman and Karlson's trade value. One or both has to be moved and everyone knows it. Ottawa should get Bergevin on the phone, he'd probably overpay for Hoffman and say to himself "I'll just turn him into a center!!!"

What could "more" be in the EK-Hoffman thing?

Did Hoffman's GF hire a hitman to take out EK or something?
