Regarding Kovalchuk, I think he can still be an ok scorer but mainly as a still great PP weapon. Bruins aren't hurting on the PP and would be crazy to get in on the bidding, I suspect he'd be much more valuable to another team (and paid accordingly).

Don't see how Ottawa comes back from this. They have to get rid of Hoffman obviously (for which they'll get a highly discounted return), and I suspect Karlsson is going to say I'm out of this BS situation as well, again for pennies on the dollar. Some lean lean times coming in Senator land.

Regardless of how much of the nonsense we hear is true or not, it completely tanks Hoffman and Karlson's trade value. One or both has to be moved and everyone knows it.
