Last season I heard of someone saying about the VGK run something like there's something not right.

I wonder how good they will be this year.

also, Zack Smith

is a defensive aware winger that excels on the pk and has been a fan favorite
and is one of the very few players with heart on that team
he put up 41 goals over 2 years bc he shot 16%, so they gave him 13/4

now a year later they're waiving him? i don't get it

figured that'd be an easily movable asset if need be

He's made around $90M in his career, and no one is offering him a big contract.
If he's not interested in the regular season and wants to ring chase he's doing the right thing. Wait until February and sign with a contender.

Isn’t he possibly leaving the game due to concussion issues?

Earlier in the summer the chatter among Rangers fans was that he was sick of / worried about the long term impact of his concussions and wasn't talking to any teams. He would be a very valuable middle six winger on a good team but I don't think he's going to sign. Maybe if he sits out a season he'll miss it and want to come back.

I'd take him back, but have no idea what the Bruins' cap situation is tbh

He has had a bunch of interested teams, but it seems like he's just not into it.

I suspect he'll take the first few months off then sign a 1 yr deal with a contender and chase a Cup without going through the grind of the season.

Boudreau looks like the cat that caught the canary.

I guess he did a lot of film work. He seems to have figured out a way to take away space and time from the Jets with a high pressure forecheck, maybe tailored to the Jets tendencies.

Here's a different play. You have the puck at the blueline, you have to wait for your teammates to get onside. Some guy is going to challenge you.

Toss the puck vertically 30 feet up in the air. You're opponent can't take the puck.

Do injuries and players on leave count on the 23-man roster for the start of the season?

"Players on Injured Reserve do not count in the 23-man limit."
