You other teams need to play nice with my team and take Tyler Johnson. So in order to someone to take on 100% of his salary they are gonna have to throw in a second round minimum, possibly a #1.

Biggest mistake GMs make is trying to get a team set during the offseason. The bottom 6 forwards and bottom pair D can be filled in later.

ya some ppl didn't seem to like him very much, but i thought he was at least fine, and objectively one of the least worst parts of the nbc experience

like the last 10-20 years of bob cole were (are?) way worse

cuthbert has been getting old lately too, hate to say
slowly turning into cole

announcing probably shouldn't be a lifetime appointment
like with most things, ppl get worse as they age
not many al michaelses around

think my fav doc thing was when he'd dial it down from SCORING CHANCE to _{_{_{puck out of play ---> commercial}}} within about 3 seconds, like an f1 car making a pitstop

I had no real issues with Doc either, just knew there was usually a better option. Now if they could just nuke that vile piece of crap Jack Edwards into orbit that would be a real gift to humanity.

Sure hope Dumbass doesn't fumble this signing. Mikheyev has the makings of a real player. This is way more important than Jumbo, Spezza, Simmonds etc.

I just always hated Doc's voice and HIT THE POST WITH THE SHAAAAAAWT, not that it's his fault but not having an annoying voice is kind of important as an announcer.

Edwards is obviously the best in the business.

I'd take anyone who realises he's doing TV commentary not radio, but that's hopeless.

Jack isn't a colour commentator tbf

He certainly crosses the line at times and his distaste for Erik Karlsson is pretty amusing, but he sure stands out and not just for the reasons the haters bring up, but because he's got a good amount of wit, especially compared to ~every other NHL announcer. Obviously he panders to Bruins fans and non-Bs fans never choose the Bruins feed when watching games (I can't blame them), so they only notice the bad stuff when it's posted on hfboards. Edwards is the Brad Marchand of play-by-play.

Pretty much all catchphrases are terrible, be it hockey, baseball or otherwise.
