that is a very good idea.

no joke, but Bill Berg was one of my favorite players for a while.

Underrated forechecker...Darby Hendrickson didnt quite fill his shoes afterwards.

I think I am a bit too excited about doing this. Then again, I always do enjoy doing drafts.

Man this snuck up. I'm mostly a casual hockey fan compared to my borderline obsession with baseball and football, so I probably have some research ahead of me. Obsessively researching was my favorite part of the NFL Modern Era draft though. Are there any geeky hockey stats I should be aware of?

Not sure what I think of having the 5th pick...

Bill Berg was part of the best checking line in NHL history. Y'all need to show a little respect.

you can trade it to me for my next pick and the rights to my first round pick in the next draft we do.

if this were a real draft, I would too. But thats another argument for another day. Also, its sooo much easier to argue for the #1 guy (you know who Im talking about). its really hard to ignore his dominating numbers. Most dominating single player in all four major sports ever, period.

I was looking at his (guy 1) stats the other day, and they are pretty sick.

now just for clarification, the players rookie season must be 79-80...or he just has to be active from 79-80???

I was under the impression it was rookie season

You're right. My bad. I misread it. I read it as must have played after 79/80, not first game in 79/80.

ok then....

it sucks that Mike Bossy is ineligible for this draft.

Arguably the most underrated player to ever lace a pair of skates on.

I have vague memories of him when I was a kid, but I remember him having a deadly shot.
