Also, I've decided that this will be a 10-year dynasty.

Players who were injured for the duration of the season are eligible. Players who left for different leagues are not. Feel free to PM me if you are unclear on a player's eligibility.

Okay boys, there seems to be a good deal of confusion here and I'm going to make another adjustment that I think will make things smoother.

The draft is now only 16 rounds, and the pool has been opened up to allow all players recently drafted by NHL teams. So any player still in juniors/the AHL/college/Europe is now eligible if they have been drafted.

The goal is to build the best team possible over the next 5? 8? 10? Infinity? years. Contracts are irrelevant here, but drafting still exists, so if you want to build a team that is great for 2013-2014 but will suck in 2016-2017 you can do so with the expectation that you'll draft early, but that's no guarantee for success (see Edmonton Oilers).

Rules:

-ABABAB vs. ABBABAB is open for discussion - that will determine when we begin double rounds
-Trades are encouraged, but please keep negotiations to PMs.
-4 hour clock with a dead period between 1:00 AM est and 10:00 AM est
-You must PM people once you've made your pick
-If you're on and don't make a pick or if you're on and then sign off, you're automatically skipped
-Co-owners are encouraged, but if you do have a co-owner and if one of you are on, not talking to each other is not a valid excuse for not making a pick

picking super high isn't such a huge advantage wrt the NHL imo

(and it really punishes the teams with good picks but not top 3-5)

so ABABABABAB etc would just be standard wraparound on all rounds, which is obv best for draft speed

guess i could live with ABBABABABAB etc tho, but ppl picking like 10th prob get ****ed the worst

LoL...no objections here dude...I'll PM you in a bit and we can work out a schedule.

The draft order will be ABBABAB and standard wraparound on all rounds. The person with the #1 pick will pick #1, #60, #90, #91, etc. The person with the #30 pick will pick #30, #31, #61, #120, etc.

Double picks will begin in round 11, meaning the first crack at double picks will go to those at the low end of the original draft order.

We currently have 26, I'm waiting for PMs from a few people. I will have the order randomized and posted in ~1 hour. If there are still only 26 people in then I'll roll with that and allow people to join at the end of the round.

I will also note that with respect to injuries you get people as they are - i.e. if Player A has concussion issues or a chronic shoulder problem, then those carry over.
