I dunno about Thornton, but that's just not true about Ovie:

Including this year's playoffs - where Ovie has 10 Goals & 9 Assists in the 14 games played so far - he has now played in 125 career playoff games, and he has 66 Goals & 62 assists for a total of 128 Points.
On an individual basis, Ovechkin isn't really a playoff choker - as he's oft accused of being. However, the Caps have proven themselves to be one of the all-time playoff chokers as a team. And I think Ovie often gets unfairly tainted by the team's terrible rep as the NHL's GOAT chokers.
Year in & year out, the Caps seemed to play with lowered expectations in the Playoffs. This year, however, they have risen to every challenge, setback & bad break so far thrown at them. Can they continue, or might they choke big-time once again? I dunno. But it sure looks like they really want it this time.
I'd hate to see Ovie retire without winning a Cup, and this year is probably his best last chance.
