Can somebody explain to me why the pens have to give up a pick to lose fleury? Doesn't he have a team friendly contract and shouldn't he have massive trade value at the moment?!?

I was under the assumption that fleury's contract was team friendly, no? (95% of my info comes from pitt radio so ignore my ignorance please).

I've also been under the assumption for the last year + that fleury would easily be the best goaltender left unprotected

Honestly doesn't seem like they're trying to win any games in year 1 which is good. Took some ****ty players instead of better players in exchange for draft picks that hopefully can help 5 years from now. Looks like he's taking some average veterans that they'll probably try to trade mid-season for more draft picks.

At first with some of the side deals being reported I thought Vegas was going to crush this but now I'm not so sure, although you can't believe everything you hear so I'm still very much intrigued with what will happen tonight.

I thought they were announcing any deals directly with Vegas and one team tonight. If Vegas was taking someone and trading them off to a 3rd team those deals wouldn't be announced until tomorrow.
