randomly it seems like melrose has been wrong with every pick, picking washington in game 7 then pit, then picking boston the last few games before jumping to philly in game 7

it's cool cause my team is down 3-2 and we don't want to talk about it.

in other news, the devils completely outplayed the flyers and ran bad to lose.

yo Rat, let's have some fun in the Flyers thread.

what was that first person shooter where you were some kind of samurai and a weapon was a severed head that shot fire or something? It was kinda like Duke Nukem

It's called "Danny Briere." You get to pick between Fatso and Tukka Rask to bring the pain upon.

I'm all for bashing on Melrose, but everyone picked Washington and Pitt in those games.

The Boston deal doesn't seem that bad either...Philly seemed done after Game 3, and now Boston seems like they can't score even shooting on Toskala, so why not switch to Philly. Melrose has had a lot more wtf things than this, imo.

A Nordiques fan would never say that...

maybe he was. iirc, he was 0-4 in Game 7's coming into this season, one more and he would have tied Keenan for the all-time record. only problem is, Keenan also had like 4-5 wins or something.

Not in Canada. The CBC is splooging in their pants right about now.

Honestly I turned to the Penguins game 4 times within the Flyers game, and the Pens were on the PP all four.

Riggers gonna try to rig and still fail anyway.

Ohhh police is charging right now, might see a mini-riot tonight but there's some much police right now.

We'll see tommorow morning I guess.

DAMN! Congratulations MTL! Im not a Habs fan but that was a pretty sweet series. MTL is really playing well as a team. Halak, MVP of the playoffs?

what type of crime rate does MTL have?

Got back from the Pens Game 7 choke-fest a little bit ago. Kind of had a good time I guess but man were they the suck. Gonchar was particularly lousy. Historic last game at Mellon Arena was sure a dud. Congrats to the Habs. I'll probably be pulling for them because they are such a ridiculous Cinderella story (although Philly is pretty incredible too).

bad calls on both sides, Montreal got away with just as much if not more than the Pens so stop whining

Monreal has been getting outplayed for the majority of 11 games now in the playoffs while only losing 6 of them yet their fans keep whining and crying when they should be enjoying the ultimate luckbox ride

Montreal still sucks, dont let a few luckbox wins fool you. They have no chance at winning the Cup anytime soon

I picked the Habs to win both series. Though I had them in 6 both times.

In fairness I had San Jose losing both times as well as Buffalo beating Boston (lol) and New Jersey beating Philly (fail.)

But hey I predicted the Habs twice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
05-13-2010 , 12:18 AM
oh ****, i hope he doesn't get around to looking up what i said. i can't remember what it was exactly, but i'm sure it wasn't positive towards the Habs...

Cammileri beating him on the shorthanded goal like that was only part of his problems. Terrible puck decisions. Inability to hold it at the line a couple times (bad bounces maybe?). Seeming lack of hustle a couple times. And pretty much passing it to the wrong team more than his own guys it seemed. Really bad game for him.

I think he also offered another interception that led to one of the Habs goals. I love me some Gonchar more often than not but he was awful.

Crosby was flat. Malkin looked pretty mediocre too.

Staal and Dupuis were probably the best Pens I thought. Both were making solid plays. Terrific determination keeping it in the zone and hard work to lead to their 2nd goal.
