Green needs a good defensive partner, but I wouldn't play a #1 shutdown guy with him. He'd anchor the defensive pairing to go against top lines, Green would play on the pairing that goes with one of the scoring lines, used in offensive situations. There's no point in jamming Green into situations were he won't succeed, so they have to do their best to protect him (and still hope he improves).

Different styles for different coaches. I also like Babcock's calm, professional style, but if some guys want to use emotion to motivate the team, who's to say that's no good? It can also be effective.
