I would somehow love for the last game of the year between the Rangers and the Flyers to determine playoff position. Should that happen, it is a stone cold lead pipe mortal lock that the Rangers win. Since I already know that, I can enjoy The Masters without petty hockey interruption.

Good to see you too, crooked.

Back in time for another playoff collapse?

Seriously though...Vancouver nailed like 4 posts there...though I guess it's evened out by Thornton/Malhotra leaving w/ injuries.

Shhhhh, let me have my peace.

btw, Leafs-Rangers was pretty awesome tonight, the building was rocking every time Phaneuf and Avery started to jaw at each other.

And oh yea, Tyler Bozak is the mother****ing truth.

I had Nashville and had to sit through 34526676 chances to win in the SO.

Somewhat tilted at the moment.

Well Thornton is injured. I guess that means we're guaranteed to win the cup now.

Is there any word on how serious it is?

TSN says it's an apparent leg injury but nothing else.

Also, what do you think the lines will shift to if #19 is out for an extended period of time?

Will Marleau/Heatley be split up?

Not to be a nit, cause I know what the point you were getting at here is, but Brad Stuart, apart from Lidstrom obv. has probably been the most consistent and reliable defensemen for Detroit this season (defensively) and would be a pretty big loss.

I didn't watch the game except for the last few minutes (was watching UFC 111) but Marleau will probably move to center, either that or Couture will center a scoring line, I have no idea though really.

Also kind of early for this question but at the draft teams used to give the 1st rounders a sweater with 09 or 08 or whatever the year was on it. Are they now going to give out #10 even though other players have it? For example Horcoff has #10 for Edmonton, and Ron Francis used to wear #10 for Carolina, they cant possibly recycle those can they?

The big 3 were all split up tonight. So I'd assume they'd have Marleau on the first line and Heatley on the second maybe?

I had to quit my soccer team half way through the season due to outside commitments (which was fine because team is just for fun). Coachie sends me a text today asking me to come out for the last game. I'm completely out of shape and haven't touched a ball in months. Team went on a winning streak after I left (uh...) and tomorrow's for the grandaddy Vancouver cup.

Do I...

-Go and play and probably play terrible
-Go and watch/support
-Make a lame excuse

I'm leaning towards option #2 > #3 > #1 but #2 is probably really lame.

Do you plan on playing again next year? If no, just blow them off. If is yes, stall as long as possible and then tell him sure you'll play if he wants, but you know you'll suck ass due to being out of shape and practice, he'll probably fold to your bluff and tell you to not bother.

Who knows, McLellan is picking names out of a hat to form his lines lately. The lines Thurs night and tonight were:

Malhotra-Pavelski-Marleau
Clowe-Thornton-Mitchell
Setoguchi-Couture-Heatley
Ortmeyer-Nichol-Staubitz

I suspect he's just trying to get individual players going for the playoffs...I'd be pretty surprised if he splits up the big 3 (DEAR GOD PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR SON JOE THORNTON BE HURT IN THE PLAYOFFS) once the postseason starts.
