Bertuzzi was done the moment he sucker-punched Steve Moore. It's a sad story too because when he was on, he was one of the best power forward in the NHL. And his hands were ridiculously soft for a man with such a mean streak.

I want to succeed. I really do. The WCE times really was something special here in Vancouver and I have a soft spot. He just doesn't seem to have the drive or WIM anymore.

And how sick was the Bertuzzi-Luongo deal?

I think being done and being a top 6 NHL forward (on Detroit) at age 35 obviously have 2 different definitions.

Not every top 6 forward in the NHL is of that quality. Some are bargain bin plugs like Bertuzzi that have potential upside once every 5-6 games. You honestly think the Wings are happy they had to get a plug like Bert because Hudler jumped to the KHL? He's been really bad for quite a while.

Missed this game again due to having a rec league game. Happy to see a win. I think Howard getting involved with Crosby there was a bit over the line, but I can never hate on guys sticking up for teammates.

We've got a bit of a cushion which is nice, but we can't sleep on it yet. I think this gives us a very good chance right now and with some very good play and run, we can maybe even jump up to a 6 or 5 seed by the start of the playoffs.

hm I forgot how weird this is with todays game. It's an old holdover from a pokerstars account I inherited from my brother (who was a Roy fan, hence the name). I kept the same login here, so there you go.

Still a Leafs fan (hence the Potvin jersey), but live in Southern California so have always liked the Kings and some of my fondest hockey memories are of the series against the Red Wings earlier this decade. Good times.
