I guess that's why we play the game though right? Maybe the Sharks are tired, I dunno. Good luck Flames - it's more fun if you guys go busto on the last game.
I don't know which game you're referring to, but this is a game the Flames should actually win. Must-win, at home, playing a Sharks team that's lost 3 in a row and on the latter half of a back-to-back...Flames are even money tonight imo.

Although I can't see the Wings losing to Edmonton tonight.

Let's say hypothetically it's the last game of the year, a 10:30 PM home game for SJ. Detroit has the 8 seed locked up and San Jose is 1 point behind Chicago for the #1 seed. If you're SJ you throw that game, right? And I'm being serious.

No. They still have to get though Chicago to get to the SCF, and home ice is huge in that series.

Now that I think about, top 10 for Kovy is not unrealistic since the older guys like Mikita, Esposito, Richard, and Lafleur get crushed in today's NHL.

Probably Lemieux, Hull, Bure, Bondra, Jagr, Selanne, Oven duck, Bossy......I don't know who else

What's the definition of, "pure goal scorer"?

You guys are going to need help even if you win. Having the team you're chasing playing the Oilers ain't too good though.

It would depend whether we count Howe/old ppl or not. But I see Kovalchuk making top 10 goal scorer talk by the end of his career. But then again, it's hard to define a pure goal scorer. Gretzky was pretty good at putting the rubber in the net. Does he count though?

I realize this, but Calgary can't really afford to scoreboard watch. They're gonna need to go close to 9-3 to finish the season in order to get themselves in contention. The rest will take care of itself, regardless if it means playoffs or not.

Boyle's hold wasn't a penalty iyo? How about the trip on Kotalik that wasn't called?

And there are two refs, not four.

So I guess I'm gonna muck up this thread all alone tonight, sigh. No money after Wednesday.

Stupid penalty to take by Bourque, he seems to be good for a dumb one every two games at least.

*edit: ldo meant no money to go out this Friday night, cause why am I here...

This must be the leftover remnants of Steve Staios' WIM that he bestowed upon his Oilers teammates. They wanna help their buddy out.

Prediction: Detroit up 5-2 at the end of the 2nd.
