Didn't want to do it, but he crossed the line again. And what, less than a week after getting a warning? Plus he got off easy again, he got one day less than he should have because I didn't realize he's been banned before. Only makes sense, Ovechkin suspended, Muresan banned... (but will he still with the MVP Award for this thread?!?)

But on the plus side, hopefully these stupid Caps/Pens debates should die down for a few days.

Huet out with the flu, Corey Crawford getting the start tonight for the Hawks because we have back to back.

Could be ugly.

Muresan, I just want to let you know that when they release you from prison, I'll be waiting outside with a sixpack of Pabst and all the unconditional, platonic love I'm capable of.

You had me at hello.

Yours always,
Geddy

Crawford's probably the most capable starter for the Hawks heading into the playoffs.

You guys want Miikka for April/May? We'll loan him out or something. His season doesn't deserve to end like this.

I know, upset of the year! It was always going to be one or the other though, except for a random fit of madness/drunkenness from someone else...

They also won the Presidents Cup, set the longest win streak record and ended the season on a lengthy unbeaten streak (18 games i believe)

Awesome, with Murs gone we can actually discuss hockey!!!

Pens should have a real entertaining back-to-back starting tonight at New Jersey who is going for the season series sweep , and tomorrow night at Boston as they will look for revenge for the Cooke-Savard hit.

Malkin is likely out for both games.

Hopefully Boston handles this incident with class and don't try to cheapshot Crosby. I hope Cooke just accepts a fight off of the opening faceoff and then both teams get on with the game.

God, when are the Sharks going to learn that pulling Nabby for Greiss is NEVER A GOOD IDEA?

Earlier this season, Sharks vs. Kings. Sharks are down 4-0, Nabby gets pulled for Greiss. Sharks score 4 straight to tie it at 4. Greiss lets in two LOLbad goals, including someone SCORING FROM BEHIND THE NET, to blow the game.

Last night: Sharks go down 4-0. Nabby gets pulled for Greiss. Sharks score at the end of the 2nd and start of the 3rd to make it 4-2 with 19 minutes left to play and suddenly having all the momentum; Greiss can't help himself though, and lets in TWO SHORTHANDED GOALS along with a couple others and suddenly Dallas is up 8-2, gg.

a 2 on 1 shorthanded goal with an absolutely perfect pass isn't really griess' fault. srsly, ribiero had the nicest saucer pass the landed right on morrow's tape.

i didn't see the other goals griess let in, but nabokov was bad.

Nabby had some bad breaks too, abysmal Sharks defense leading to Morrow being left wide open in the slot in one, puck taking a bad bounce off the boards to right in front of the goal (and a Dallas player being the only dude in sight) in another

Last edited by goofyballer; 03-17-2010 at 04:19 PM. Reason: Morrow, not Ribiero

Yeah I guess it's either tongue-in-cheek, or they're defeating their own argument by posting stuff like that. Because I don't really care what people say about me on here, as long as they don't break any rules. And even then I might just choose to look the other way...

Meh the Rangers aren't making the playoffs, I'm in avatar hell for the next 8 days...I could serve a 6-month ban and not lose sleep

But 72o knows i'm kidding, i'm getting maximum milage on the powerhungry mod joke while it's still recent news. And if not, his starting goalie just won gold in the olympics, his twin brothers are pwning this season and he'll have games to watch in late April. It's all good bro

the rangers are making the playoffs, obviously. they're getting all the right injuries at the right time, and even though they're being outshot by montreal at even strength, the rest of the league will fold gracefully for them.

7 of the last 9 games on the road. Teams are nipping at our heels, and we still have to overcome the Bruins + 3 points

And which post led to Murs' ban?
