Because I don't want to post in the random garbage "Is Winnipeg getting the Jets back" new thread I'll obv post it here. Apparently they're building two new training facilities in Winnipeg, meetings are going pretty well with whatever business consortium that wants a team and they're already working on making the MTS center larger. Saskatoon has been asked if they can take the AHL team.

Who knows what the chances are that anything develops, but the ground work is getting there. Probably getting toward the 15% area, but I don't see any team moving before the 2014-15 season anywhere.

Hate the Habs
Well you could certainly say that
Gomez nor Gionta could reach up and touch my ballsack-a-lack
And as far as the goalies go
This franchise started Red Light Racicot
This rap's running late, no one came and told me
That I was waiting for another pregame ceremony
"The Leafs make bad trades, what a bunch of boneheads"?
You should know, look what you gave up for Scotty Gomez!
Sure Laraque is tougher than anyone that we got
He looks pretty tough eating a hot dog in the press box
The Kostitsyns? Don't even get me started
I'm pretty sure Hal Gill is partially ******ed

This SJ/habs game is an unreal performance by Price and has been a really good game so far.
Was a really good game, Habs and Price probably deserved better.

Anyone at the top of the West like the prospect of having to face the Red Wings in the first round of the playoffs?
Doesn't seem that way, not with the Avs, Coyotes, Preds, and even Kings likely to make it. The Wings will be tough like the Ducks this year, and could "upset" anyone. Probably would have been a top-4 team in the conference if not for injuries, and if they gassed Osgood sooner.

To Winnipeg, or in general? If it's the latter, I raise Phoenix? Maybe even an Atlanta, etc...

see me in a 7 game series of NHL 09...not 10 because I dont even have that **** son. Or an all riot shield battle in MW2 im simply devastating. UMD beat Duke last night so after listening to helicopters all night I got to watch footage of the riots with the county police showing up in riot gear. I saw one cop riot shield some kid and was thinking "watch out for the AA-12 spray" in the back of my mind

Very disappointed that
a.) nobody took a run at Laperriere
b.) nobody dropped the gloves and beat the **** out of one of those Frenchies
c.) Douglas Murray didn't kill anyone just cause he felt like it

But, coming back and getting the W despite Price being Jamie Gold for 50 minutes was pretty ****ing sweet.

When Murs is on his A game, he's hard to beat. This is great stuff.

Edited post imo. 3-0 Flames win, Staios with the Gordie Howe hatty, assists on both of Iginla's Higgins' goals.
