It's close. I've seen 8-year olds with a better skating stride than Laraque. His skating is honestly embarrassing for a professional hockey player, goon or not.

I feel bad for Price. Hasn't played particularly well but hasn't played 7GA kinda bad.

Also, forgot Price is a BC boy, his family is in the crowd, that's why he played tonight. He probably feels awful right now.

I agree with this. But this is what can happen playing back-to-back nights, especially after a particularly physical game last night in Calgary.

Last time we won in Vancouver was in 2000 apparently.

laraque was one of the best fighter/players in the league a few years back. peters is honestly the slowest player i've seen since scott daniels.

What a game.

-Rypien makes Hal Gill his oversized bitch.
-Ray Ferrero said that the Canucks dropped 3 "creative" height jokes in 5 seconds when Gomez/Gionta/Cammalleri were pushing at the bench. LOL [love to hear them...]
-Love that end sequence with Montreal trying the jam the puck and Gord Miller revved up and ending it by saying "LUONGO IS BACK!"
-Mason Raymond scoresssss
-Hank with 2g 2a

Carey, it's not your fault.

Nice bounce-back game for Luongo. Kesler and the Sedins showed up. A LOLtastic fight between David and Goliath, I mean Rypien and Gill. And a touchdown on the Habs, what more can you ask for? More than 1 win in 4, but I'll take it tonight.

Oh yeah, forgot that one. Pretty funny that the optimistically listed 5'10" Ray Ferraro said the jokes were so creative that he hadn't heard them before himself. Expected from Burrows and Kesler though, you know they do their research after that "Kelly" incident in the playoffs last year. And who was the potato farmer that Burrows got going a couple seasons ago?

Yeah, I was going to say Laraque is actually one of the best players for an enforcer in the league. He is slow like most enforcers, but down low behind the net he is a force and impossible to knock off the puck and has pretty decent hands for a big man.

Except somehow Ryan Johnson managed to spin him completely around today...

Well it must be that new vegan diet of his, because Laraque's been God-awful in a Habs uniform.

Like, seriously...Laraque's gonna make $3 million over the next 2 years. That's ridiculous.

Penalty!

Yeah I don't know about Laraque. He needs to be pissed off to be effective, but it doesn't seem like he's angry enough of the time. He has the ability to be a decent 4th liner, fighting aside, but he doesn't quite put it all together. Like today, they were down 3-1, or was it 4-1, and he was trying to get Hordichuk to fight. Now that'd be a bad idea at the best of times, but luckily he was told by the Canucks bench not to indulge him. So at that point Laraque should have started running around throwing hits until someone stopped him, and he got his fight. But it seemed like he passed up chances to get physical, for whatever reason.

Maybe he doesn't have the fight in him anymore, or maybe he's got the superstar complex.

Laraque seems like [from interviews + youtube clips] to be a really nice and humble guy.
