Are we still talking about Phoenix? Yeah, I read quotes from several Canuck players talking about how it felt like a home game down there, because of how many Vancouver fans were in the building. Still lost in a SO, cause Raycoft became unable to stop a beach ball.

And yeah, Dave Tippett is probably a lock for the Jack Adams. Apparently he has systems and stuff, unlike their previous coach...

brutal to watch.
It was a skull ****ing.

Though Lak got shafted out of a few PPs. In particular the Eager fight where at worst for Lak it should have been a 4v4, but instead the Hawks got the man advantage.

Though I really shouldn't be surprised seeing as it was the same officials from last night's abortion vs. Anaheim.

refs had nothing to do with it. kinda need the puck to draw a penalty.

Enourmous win by the Canucks tonight. Luongo was stellar. Grabner seemed tentative. I hope he remembers that he's a good hockey player.

Sharks are so terrible lately, they've had three types of games since the Olympics:

- Get themselves in a hole early on, tease like they're going to come back but ultimately fall short or even in some cases collapse (losses to NJ, ANA, DAL, VAN)
- Get themselves in a hole early on, come through with the comeback (wins vs NSH, MTL, CLB)
- Get a lead, lose anyway (loss to FLA)

Of those 8 games, SJ scored the first goal in one (which they lost in OT). Turrrrrrrrible.

Looks like you guys are in about the right position to barely squeak into the playoffs and start burning the city down in the rare event you make it into the 2nd round

some call it barely squeak into the playoffs, some call it being a lock for the 5th seed, but most would agree that your comeback was weak

nice to see we have the well played out ovenchicken vs criesby debate play out last night. I can't believe that while Muresan is banned another Caps homer who happens to have insider connections also shows up.

I'm really liking this young Toronto team. When Kadri comes up I seriously think we could make a push for 9th place.

I was just thinking about this 10 minutes ago. I wonder if they'll even have Kadri with the team next year, short of him destroying the preseason. They already have Bozak and Grabovski playing centre, so unless one of those 3 moves to the wing, I don't know if they have a place for him. It wouldn't hurt him to play a season for the Marlies, either, he's not a very big guy.

He needs to work on his discipline too. He's got 105PIM where most other elite OHL scorers have around 50-70.

It wasn't really a true OV - Crosby debate, just another crybaby Caps fan showing up spouting BS and whining about Crosby

Caps fans inferiority complex with the Pens is truly pathetic

And i had yet to see Crosby actually "fight".

Would be unlikely, as Crosby would not have enough balls to fight Ovechkin and Ovechkin would not want to fight a smaller guy.

You might as well respond with your own opinion, but please provide a good argument.

Because i have yet found somebody actually answering with out changing the subject.

Stanley cup RANGZ? Riot.
1st round victory? Riot.
Hal Gill wins a fight? Riot.
Sergei and Price DP a stripper? Riot.
Hal Gill loses a fight? Riot.

I always figured I'd hop on either the Hawks or Yotes bandwagon once the Rangers are eliminated, but I might have to change my mind. These Montrealers know how to party.

I was at the game last night.

Kovalchuk, clearly has tons of skill, but man is that guy lost on the ice. Super-poor positional play, non-existent on defence, and trying to do everything himself.

They must have not found a line to play with him yet; not once during the game did it look like he has absolutely any thought at all about where his teammates might be on the ice.

I guess playing with the talent the Thrashers have will do that to you.

kovalchuk is a very good passer but all of those things are pretty much true - without the puck, he's not very good at all. i missed last night's game, fwiw.

still the top sniping talent in the league outside of ovechkin, and probably going to end up as one of the top 10 pure goal scorers of all time

I noticed the same thing. I figured he is still getting acquainted with the Devils system, but not sure if he will be a good fit long term.

He won't be there long-term so that part of it won't matter.
