Babcock is tilting me playing Zaitsev, Gardiner and Carrick ahead of Reilly on the PP.

Reilly was good enough to play PP on team North America, but somehow needs to learn to play defense according to coach...

Last year, I thought his usage was due to them not wanting him to put up too many points in a contract year. This year it all seems kinda pointless overcoachnig.

I think shea weber is overrated by public perception but he's underrated by corsi as well

+/- sucks if you're comparing it to players on other teams but does have at least some relevance to your own team.

Goals like tonight by Weber are perfect examples of why corsi stats undervalue him as a D man.

Can one of you hockey reference wizards figure out who has the most OT goals by a Dman? In Kings history?
AMartinez has 2 already this year, plus at least 2 more in the playoffs.

Kind of hard to say. In terms of comparisons to his peers, he has to be up there. Guys like Orr, Coffey, Bure, Selanne are the ones that come to my mind immediately as similar types.

I was thinking of bure, and I'm sure we can easily just figure out the top speed of each player using video and a stop watch, but McDavid's stride is just so easy and deceptive. Guys know he melts the ice but he still just burns by them. I'd love to see a Players Tribune style article from a guy who's played a bunch of games against a skater like him.

Although McDavid is super sick, that 4v4 play against Calgary when he drew a PS was one of the sickest displays of speed that I've seen in a long time.

Does anyone know what the numbers were that were being yelled out on this Dallas Stars power play?

Someone yelled "25" and then "10" when they were starting out of their end and "25" when the puck was turned over in the offensive zone.
