Cam's football IQ is probably at least 1 SD above his actual IQ anyway.

The Raiders fans I know have totally talked themselves into loving this trade. Complete denial, I love it.

You guys are missing the point about Brady. Only the teams with incompotent front offices would even trade a single fourth rounder for him as all the compotent teams know not to trabe with Bellichick because you will get raped no matter what the deal is.

Bardy traded to Colts for two first rounders...says BB: "Well now I can reveal it, he was a system QB, Hoyer and Mallet are better anyways"

Well it is an SEC school so there's that.

1-5 though. Oh but he's played an insane schedule and runs soooo bad. Not throwing 9 picks might have helped though.
Aaron Rodgers was not even good enough to start his first year, just imagine how much better Cam must be.

last 150 posts need to be nuked

FACT: Cam Newton has improved his offense by 160 YARDS PER GAME. They are 5th in yards and 4th in ypp. In the entire league. And this includes being shutdown by a foot of rain one game.

Peyton Manning threw 28 picks his rookie year, confirmed bust

Wow didn't think we'd get that a good trade for Carson Palmer. 1st round 2012 and second round 2013 picks.

Yeah UF/Vandy are academically the same as the other SEC schools.

I think all 3 would be the biggest steals in trade history(in favor of the team getting Brady) and I would be shocked at wtf NE was thinking. The Bears would instantly become super bowl contenders this year(or even favorites), the Dolphins would be super bowl contenders in 2012, and the Colts would be able to make some crazy trade with Brady/Manning that would leave them with a ton of assets.

but wouldnt bellicheck (if he didnt have to deal with fans/media) snap call cutler + 2 1sts for brady? cheaper/6 years younger- cutler has proved that he can be a fantastic QB with great weaponzzz (denver 08) and they cud use the $ and 2 1sts to improve the rest of their team
No imo. All you can realistically ask for in the variance filled NFL is a legit shot at contending- The Pats have that for the next ~5 years with Brady, and theres no need to risk that. I think Cutler + 4 1sts would do it though.

So far in his career you've been dead wrong, yet I don't see you admitting anything. So I'm skeptical that you will do what you say.

You have to become a great for that to matter. Right now he's unreal overrated.

So you're saying that a QB's rookie numbers offer us no predictive value whatsoever? Maybe I'm just not understanding what you mean by "I don't care", but thats what it sounds like, and if so thats insane.

No, his "entire" argument is that a player's performance has predictive value, and Cam's rookie performance gives us severe indications that he will be a GOAT type player. You on the other hand "don't care" about how a player does in his rookie year(until he "becomes a great").

Nothing if you put together a well thought out argument for it. However, you entire argument seems to say:

I don't care about his stats.

Well except his INTs, those a really bad, ya know!

He is 1-5(nevermind that he joined the worst team in the league and that their pyth w/l is much better than 1-5 would indicate)

Therefore, he is overrated.

Thats an absurd argument, and thats why everyone disagrees with you.

Brady is kind of a statue in the pocket checking the entire field. I can't see him do well with the Bears if you plugged him in there right now. Receivers aren't good enough for his game and the oline doesn't get him nearly enough time.

Vandy ok, UF is no Vandy though. UF academics vs Vandy academics is on the same level as Tebow vs Cutler as NFL quarterbacks if I'm generous.

Give me a rookie QB who is being asked to do everything but making more mistakes over one who is making fewer mistakes but doing less every time if their raw stats are similar.
Dalton has looked good, on pace to be a top 5 rookie QB ever. Unfortunate that he is doing it this year. He could have a better year than Cam even but they haven't been all that close as of yet.
