Why is it trolling for me to think the Packers believe they're justified in putting him on IR? From ProFootballTalk

While the Packers didn’t specifically state that Rodgers has a new injury, the chances of the Packers being unable to make a plausible case that the pounding Rodgers took during last week’s game against the Panthers (12 total hits) left him sufficiently impaired to justify ending his season [are slim]. Besides, the Packers would hardly be the first, or last, team to shut down a guy late in the season even though he technically would be healthy within the minimum six-week window that supposedly applies to any player who is placed on injured reserve.

every team that is out of playoff contention has an IR list of players who could play if a berth were on the line.

Are they all trolling?
Why is it trolling for me to think the league shouldn't rule him ineligible after they've approved it? According to Seifert
Quote:
it would be sketchy for the league at this point even to question the Packers' decision to place Rodgers on injured reserve. The NFL's management council must approve all transactions before they are finalized, so any issues with the process should have been brought up when the Packers submitted the move Tuesday.
Is he also trolling?
Sure, by the letter of the rule, the Packers should understand that Rodgers isn't eligible for IR. But by the way that rule is always enforced, they have every reason to believe they are justified in placing him on IR.
