bigger question is where does he go.
Would Dallas really take in another trouble WR after just getting rid of one?

Chicago? Might as well literally punt the whole draft.

Lots of teams don't have 7ths or there are conditions that might still need to be met so those can't get traded yet. This gets weird, browns could sneak in a round swap elsewhere (Cle also don't have a 7th)

remember way back when the Browns WR core was Josh Gordon Jarvis Landry Corey Coleman? The strength of the team.

Gordon could've relapsed too and that was the final straw, that would make more sense.

I think its basically a lock he's back on the sauce. It makes sense with the lack of media leaks because its considered a medical issue and there are pretty severe penalties for violating medical privacy.

aren't those severe penalties like a $100 fine or whatever? If memory serves correctly that's what happened with JPP.

fwiw I think Pats will pass. Gordon isn't just some disgruntled good player on bad team, he's an addict.

Fewer teams will be interested than people in here think btw.

Packers should sign Gordon and Dez and go four-wide every play with Adams and Cobb. And you have Jimmy Graham for ****s and giggles.

EDIT: Also, Adams is questionable tomorrow, so sign Gordon and let him go to town with one-legged Godgers.

The eventual ESPN movie on Gordon's failed career will be really good. I just wish I could get into his head for one hour.

I thought some nurse ended up getting fired/losing her license after leaking something to Shefter about JPP? Was there a leak from the team too?

The above is a good idea if you want Aaron Rodgers to get murdered

It turns out Josh Gordon was injured during a commercial promotion. (not through the team)

I don't know if that's happened in the NFL before.

Every year, something new and only possible to the browns.

Upon research, two people got fired for leaking that and a huge ****storm over Schefter posting the actual chart when he could've just said the info anyway.

One of the two later sued the hospital, so it cost them a bunch in legal fees and two **** employees. Swore the hospital was only fined a hundo but couldn't find that quickly and dgaf to find it.

Why would the Browns announce they were releasing him and then try to trade him? Seems counterproductive

He still has to go through waivers, so I imagine it's more of a "hey, good teams that want him, let us know."

As a veteran he wouldn't go through waivers but become a free agent immediately if released...

He's missed so many seasons that he actually hasn't accumulated enough time to not have to go through waivers, is what I'm seeing being reported. Is that information incorrect?

With McCarron and Nathan Peterman on the roster, Buffalo would be able to protect and groom their prized first-round pick during his rookie season.

But the decision to trade McCarron changed the dynamic. Suddenly, there was a lot of pressure on Nathan Peterman to be competent ... and Nathan Peterman had already showed signs that competency wasn't really his thing.

Just like it's probably best to draft a ton of QBs in each draft till you hit a HOFer but again you're fighting with short term thinking of owners.
Coaching jobs simply aren't secure enough for anybody running a team to make long-term plans. What Sashi Brown was doing with the Browns was a long-term plan of acquiring and accumulating draft picks while saving cap space to build a better team in the future. He got fired because as you said the NFL is a short-term league.

Teams would be better if owners stayed the hell out of its operations and just collected the money.

Vontae Davis retiring from football at halftime in Bills game is epic. Puts on street clothes, leaves stadium without even saying word to his teammates. So fitting for Buffalo.

last year there were 8 400 yard passing games

this year there are already 6

12 QBs threw for 300 yards yesterday

out of control
