Thomas still gonna get tagged and traded this off-season. Landry got tag/traded w/ a $16m price tag. S tag was sub 10M last year

going over the highlights--Mahomes had 2 Cutlahhhh throws but Denver dropped both. He'll probably have some ass game against some random bad team eventually but Chiefs fans will live with it.

Brees

not quite the totals of Goff or Fat Dick but 8:0 TD:INT ratio for a 3-1 team and currently set to break his own completion % record (again)

Mahomes is awesome but he's definitely due for some regression to the mean soon.

I feel like teams will figure out how to keep him in the pocket with 4 rushers and make him either find a target or eat the sack. I feel like he's so dangerous on the move and out of the pocket that if you can keep him contained and force him to find an open target without being able to move his body, you can have some success.

Best thing for NFL would be 10-0 KC at 10-0 LAR. Early line LAR -3 -120 o/u 58.

I like your horse racing analogy with "quarter pole", but that would mean there is only a quarter of a mile to the finish.

More apt would be clubhouse turn or three-quarter pole.

Azteca Stadium gets the likely game of the year. Doesn't seem right but whatever.

Gonna be some exhausted defenses chasing around those play makers at 7280 feet elevation.

ya think?

Also Demaurice Smith is a pretty ****ty union boss but he's right about one thing. Given that the average NFL career is about 3 years it is very very difficult to convince your members to give up even half of one of those years to a strike, and (imo) it would take a lengthy work stoppage to get the league to agree to changes that would put NFLPA on par with other league unions.

the MLB union ****ed over yet-to-be players for the first SIX YEARS of their careers to get guaranteed veteran contracts

and after this offseason it seems like most teams have finally decided to stop giving big ones out to marginal players so they really just ****ed themselves.

its nice for chris davis personally to make $100M to be worse than replacement for the next 4 years but thats just money that would have gone to other players who can actually provide a better product

Suzzer must be on cloud 9 now that KC finally has a world class QB, and wins at DEN when their defense shows up and still loses.

Pretty much the reverse of my entire Chiefs fandom vs. Denver.

I am pleased to report that the person who was apparently solely responsible for the Dolphins 38-7 thrashing at the hands of New England, Jordan Phillips, has been cut.

Greatness has been restored to Miami.

I heard it on LeBatard and looked it up myself on Pro Football Reference.

I believe the 4th was Dallas in 98.

Even the Raiders? I can still see Ben Davidson somersaulting over Len Dawson.

Yeah, LAR probably -2 o/u around 63. I'm not sure what the record on scoring is there, I'm assuming to shade the over due to bias for 4th qtr scoring. But teams may be reserving themselves early, so it might counteract.

I'm not quite that old. But I heard the story from my uncle about 50 times.

Here's when we put the Raiders' mystique to bed:

It's gonna be so weird for all of us the day the Pats, Steelers, etc... are bad when the Browns and company are good. Just feels like it's been the other way almost all my adult life.
