Watson's #2 WR was also out yesterday. I don't think Belichick was happy how Watson ran crazy last year in Foxboro. Fuller was out last year too but Fuller being out plus OL issues slowed them down. I don't think Watson is RG3 just yet but he has a lot to prove. Titans, Giants, Colts, Cowboys, Bills the next few weeks gives him a lot of time and a lot of much easier Ds to deal with than the Pats at home.

From Barnwell:

"The Browns were +5 in turnovers on Sunday. Since the Browns returned to the NFL, teams with a turnover margin of +5 or better in a game are 132-4-1. The Browns are responsible for 2 of the losses and the tie"

Is Watson not talented? Lighting up the Chargers D in perfect weather I don't think already proves that Mahomes is the second coming.

No but the Giants are pretty bad too. fwiw--I thought Washington was clearly better than both NYG/DAL even before last week.

ofc that's the SNF instead of an actual interesting game.

in injury news
Doug Baldwin has a grade 2 MCL tear.

It's more than that though...... It's all the college tape and the two games in the NFL. Plus he's in an offense with an elite WR that turned Alex Smith into a top 5 QB last year. Oh and the chiefs traded that top 5 QB away so they could start Mahomes. He's going to throw a lot of picks this year but with Tyreek and that bad D the Chiefs have he's going to have a monster year this year.

Well that poorly thrown 50/50 ball he just threw for a TD is a good start. Very lucky that wasn't his 2nd INT of the game.

Nothing I saw today impressed me. The TD to Quincy was a throw every QB in the league can make. Quincy might be the best WR in the league after the catch. So he is a great fit for Darnold. The TD he threw to Anderson was a bad throw that gets picked normally.

If he plays well enough I will admit I was wrong. Today was meh just like all preseason. They should have traded Darnold and kept Bridgewater imo……

Youngest starting qb all time on the road as a large dog against a 9-7 from last year and plays pretty damn well. I normally would hate on someone like darnold and he was gifted a lot by the lions but that was a nice win for a really young qb.

I am thinking you would still come up with a reason to puke on him. Just on the fact you are talking **** about his 1st game ever, on the road, on MNF.

Every QB can make that throw, then a lot of QB can make that throw, then a good QB is supposed to make that throw, then doesn't have a playoff win, then hasn't won a Superbowl, then he didn't do much to in that Superbowl win.

Just wanted to let you know that I showed my kid a video of the Frank Reich playoff comeback this morning. Now he is actually aware that the Buffalo Bills exist.

Well sorry you feel that way. He hasn't done anything I've seen yet that makes me think he will be a good QB in this league.

These are the worst takes - if he ends up sucking he can just be all "told you clowns you guys suck trollololol" but if he's good he can play the "yep that week 7 throw was the one that showed me how awesome he was"

But it's WW so no one really cares lol

At least this week I never had to see cameras cutting to Gruden every play even though his team sucks or announcers orgasming over Mack when he had a free pick 6 and didn't do much else or hearing about how Rodgers isn't planting with his left foot even though every throw was planted

Go NFL!

wtf was Matt Patricia thinking? going 3-13 with the Lions is better than being on the Patriots and winning? does he actually think he is a good coach? lol.

Pretty sure he's being well compensated for going 3-13

Darnold looked good. Not as good as Mahomes did, but still good. It's hard to put up a flukey good game at QB in the NFL.
